1. Positioning

For optimal performance, place Homey Pro mini in an open and unobstructed location. Avoid placing objects on top of the device, as this may impact functionality.

2. Connecting

Connect the included USB-C cable to Homey Pro mini and the power adapter. Ensure the power adapter is plugged into a functioning power socket.

Connect an Ethernet cable to Homey Pro mini and an available Ethernet port on your router. Note: Homey Pro mini requires an Ethernet connection for internet access and cannot connect via Wi-Fi.

3. Downloading the Homey App

Visit https://setup.homey.app to download and install the Homey app. Follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and complete the setup process.

Important Safety Information

Handle Homey Pro mini with care. It contains sensitive electronic components and can be damaged, impair functionality, or cause injury if dropped, burned, punctured, crushed, disassembled, or exposed to excessive heat, liquid, or environments with high concentrations of industrial chemicals, including near evaporating liquified gasses. Do not use a damaged Homey Pro mini.

Power Supply

Only use Homey Pro mini with an adapter compliant with applicable country regulations and safety standards, including IEC 62368-1, with a minimal output rating of 5.0V/3.0A (10W). Using other power adapters that may not meet safety standards could pose a risk of death or injury. Using damaged cables or adapters, or in a moist environment, can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to Homey Pro mini or other property.

Prolonged Heat Exposure

Avoid prolonged skin contact with the device, power adapter, or cables/connectors when plugged in, as it may cause discomfort or injury.

Medical Device Interference

Homey Pro mini contains components and radios that emit electromagnetic fields. These fields may interfere with pacemakers, defibrillators, or other medical devices. Maintain a safe separation distance between your medical device and Homey Pro mini. Consult your physician and medical device manufacturer for information specific to your medical device, including radio immunity. Stop using Homey Pro mini if you suspect interference with your medical device.

Disposal and Recycling Information

The symbol [recycling symbol] indicates this product should not be disposed of with household waste. Dispose of this product in accordance with local environmental laws and guidelines. EU citizens should take the device to a local authority collection point. Collection and recycling help conserve resources and protect the environment.

Operating Environment

Homey Pro mini is designed for normal, in-house conditions. Operating outside the following ranges may affect performance:

  • Operating temperature: 5° to 35°C (40° to 95°F)
  • Relative humidity: 20% to 75% (non-condensing)

Use of Homey constitutes acceptance of the software license terms and EULA found at https://legal.athom.com.

Software Updates

Athom shall provide software updates to Homey Pro mini for no less than 5 years after release.

Athom Two (2) Years Limited Warranty

The Athom Two-Years Limited Warranty is a voluntary manufacturer's warranty, providing rights separate from consumer law. Benefits are in addition to, not instead of, consumer protection laws. Consumers can choose to claim service under this Limited Warranty or their consumer law rights. Important: Warranty terms do not apply to consumer law claims.

Athom warrants the Homey Pro mini will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the original retail purchase date (the "Warranty Period").

If the Homey Pro mini fails to conform to this Limited Warranty, Athom will, at its discretion, either (a) repair or replace the defective product or component; or (b) accept the return and refund the original purchase price.

Repair or replacement may be made with new or refurbished products/components. If a product model or component is no longer available, Athom may replace it with a similar product with similar functions.

Products may be ineligible for this warranty if marked 'sample', modified, used outside Athom Terms of Use, or if they have mechanical damages or are subject to Acts of God. A full version of the warranty is available at https://legal.athom.com.

This product meets EMC compliance requirements when used with certified peripheral devices and properly shielded cables. To minimize interference, use compliant peripherals and shielded cables. EMC compliance testing included various certified peripheral devices.
