Speaker Connection

Speaker Setup

Before connecting the speakers, please refer to their accompanying user manual for proper placement. The arrangement of speakers is crucial for surround sound playback.

  • Front Left/Right Main Speakers: Generate the basic soundstage.
  • Center Speaker: Creates a rich soundstage effect and enhances the sense of sound movement.
  • Left/Right Surround Speakers: Add a three-dimensional sound movement and create an immersive ambient atmosphere for various scenes. This is essential for enjoying Dolby Digital and DTS audio, improving the sound quality and realism of the home theater experience.
  • Back Surround Speakers: In a complete 7.1 system, they play a bridging role between the front soundstage and provide a good connection. They also allow us to hear environmental sound effects from the rear, immersing us in a surround sound experience. This enhances the sense of surround sound in the home theater and improves the overall movie-watching experience.
  • Subwoofer: Produces powerful and rich low-frequency sounds, enhancing the impact of the audio.

Surround speakers can be installed on the wall or placed on shelves, positioned vertically or elevated 60-90cm above the ears. Secure the screws on the wall, ensuring that the screws and the wall can support a weight of 20kg.

Cable Connection Precautions

When connecting the speakers, it is essential to use the correct specification of speaker cables. Strip approximately 4mm of insulation from the wire. Twist the wire cores tightly together. Pay attention to the signal flow direction on the speaker cables.

However, users can connect their own playback devices (such as DVD) to any input terminals of this unit (such as AUX1). In such cases, users must remember to set the audio source of this unit to AUX1 when using DVD as the audio source.
  2. Connect the 5-channel power outputs of this unit to the corresponding speakers. Ensure that the amplifier's positive (+) output is connected to the speaker's positive (+) terminal. This unit provides only 5-channel power output.
  3. For users using an active subwoofer, connect the subwoofer output of this unit to the input terminal of the active subwoofer.

Handling Automatic Protection Situations

This unit is a new type of computer-controlled, all-digital home entertainment center with automatic protection functions such as overcurrent and output short circuit. If any protection event occurs during use, the unit will automatically shut down and display the protection status. In such cases, users should identify and resolve the issue before powering on the unit again.

Important Safety Measures

  1. Power Cord Protection: Take care to avoid stepping on or crushing the power cord, especially at the plug point on the appliance and the wall outlet. Do not overload the power cord by extending it or connecting multiple devices, as this can lead to fire or electric shock hazards. Avoid pulling or yanking the power cord.
  2. Ventilation: The openings on the appliance's casing are designed for ventilation to ensure proper operation and prevent overheating. These openings must not be blocked or covered. Place the appliance in a well-ventilated area. Do not place objects on top of it or cover it with a cloth. Maintain a distance of at least 10 centimeters from the wall.
  3. Electric Shock: Take precautions to prevent objects or liquids from falling or flowing into the openings of the appliance. Even a small metal object like a hairpin or needle can cause electrical conductivity inside the appliance, posing an electric shock hazard. It is especially important for households with children to ensure that no objects, particularly metal ones, are inserted into the appliance.
  4. Repairs: Users should not attempt any repairs beyond those specified in the user manual. Any repairs outside the specified scope should be carried out by authorized service personnel. After any repairs on the appliance, request a safety check from a technician to ensure that the appliance is in proper working condition.
  5. Removal of Casing: Do not dismantle the appliance's casing. Touching internal components can result in serious electric shock accidents.
  6. Unusual Odors: If you detect any unusual odors or smoke, immediately disconnect the power and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet. Contact the retailer or nearest service center for assistance.

Instances Requiring Repair:

The following situations require inspection and repair by authorized service personnel:

  • A. Damage to the power cord or plug.
  • B. Objects falling into or liquids flowing into the appliance.
  • C. Exposure of the appliance to rain or moisture.
  • D. Inability to operate properly even when following the instructions in the user manual, often necessitating thorough examination and repair by qualified technicians to restore normal operation.
