Identifying Parts
The speaker has controls and ports on its top and back panels.
Top Panel Controls
- 7. Mode button: Cycles through input modes (Bluetooth, USB/SD, FM, Aux).
- 8. Track Repeat button: Repeats the current track or all tracks.
- 9. Volume down button (VOL-): Decreases volume.
- 10. Volume up button (VOL+): Increases volume.
- 11. EQ mode button: Selects equalizer presets.
- 12. Previous track/rewind button (FM-/VOL-): Skips to the previous track or rewinds.
- 13. Play/Pause and FM auto scan button (AUTO SCAN): Plays/pauses music, answers/ends calls, and initiates FM channel scan.
- 14. Next track/fast-forward button (FM+/VOL+): Skips to the next track or fast-forwards.
- 15. Display LED screen: Shows current mode, track information, and status (e.g., "Hi", "bt", "88:88").
Ports and Indicators (Back Panel)
- 1. Charging light indicator: Shows charging status (e.g., red while charging, off when complete).
- 2. DC 5V, micro USB charging port: For charging the speaker.
- 3. On/Off switch: Powers the speaker on or off.
- 4. Micro SD/TF card slot: For playing music from a memory card.
- 5. Aux input: For connecting external audio devices via a 3.5mm cable.
- 6. USB port: For playing music from a USB flash drive.
Bluetooth Pairing ?
- Switch the power on. The display screen will indicate "Hi" and a welcome tone will be audible.
- Cycle to Bluetooth mode by pressing the "Mode" button until the display screen indicates "bt". The speaker will beep twice. The Bluetooth symbol ? will flash, indicating the speaker is ready to pair with your playback device.
- Activate Bluetooth on your playback device and search for "Rocket". Select "Rocket" from the device's list to connect. A connection tone will be heard after successful pairing, and the Bluetooth LED will stop flashing.
- You can now playback audio through the speaker.
- Music tracks can be selected either on the speaker or on your playback device (smartphone, computer, tablet etc.). Press the "next track/fast-forward" button to skip to the next song. Press "previous track/rewind" to play the previous song.
- Volume can be controlled either on the speaker or on your playback device (smartphone, computer, tablet etc.). Press "volume up" or "volume down" on the speaker to adjust the volume as preferred.
- Press the "play/pause" button on the speaker to play or stop music.
Playing MP3's from a USB Flash Drive or Micro SD Card ?
- Switch the power "ON".
- Insert USB flash disk or micro SD card into the slot. Music will play automatically.
- Music tracks can be selected with the control buttons on the speaker. Press "next track/fast-forward" or "previous track/rewind" button to select songs you would like to play.
- To fast forward to a song section, press and hold the "next track/fast-forward" button while scrolling to your desired section. To rewind to a song section, press and hold the "previous track/rewind" button to scroll back to your desired section.
- Press "play/pause" to play or pause the music.
- Use the "volume up" and "volume down" buttons on the speaker to adjust the volume accordingly.
- Press "track repeat" to replay the song again when finished.
FM Radio ?
- Use the provided audio cable as an antenna to receive a good FM radio signal.
- Once the device has been turned on, press the "mode" button to cycle to FM radio mode.
- Use the play/pause button to search for all available FM channels and store them automatically.
- To navigate between radio stations, use the "next track/fast-forward" or "previous track/rewind" buttons to select radio stations.
Note: Inserting the audio cable while the speaker is in FM mode will cause the speaker to automatically switch to Aux mode. Pressing the "mode" button again will cycle back to FM mode.
Aux-In
- Press "mode" to cycle the speaker to aux mode.
- Plug the provided audio cable into the compatible device's "line-out or headphone-out" and then into the speaker's "aux-in" port.
Making and Receiving Calls
- When the speaker is paired to your smartphone, you will be able to make or receive calls using the built-in microphone.
- When receiving a call, press the "play/pause" button on the speaker to answer and end calls.
Disposal of Unit ♻️
- Please do NOT attempt to change the battery yourself. If the battery has died and you do not want us to replace your battery, you should follow the disposal instructions below:
- Never dispose of used batteries/electronics with ordinary solid wastes, since they contain toxic substances.
- Always dispose of used batteries/electronics in accordance with the prevailing community regulations that apply to the disposal of batteries/electronics. If there are no local regulations concerning battery/electronics disposal, please dispose of the device in a waste bin for electronic devices.
