Safety Requirements
To ensure proper use, read this manual before using the amplifier. It is important to be aware of the CAUTIONS provided.
- Installation must be performed by a qualified professional.
- Install the amplifier in a firm place with at least 1" (25mm) of space around the heatsink for adequate heat distribution.
- Never install the amplifier in locations exposed to dust, humidity, water, or heat sources.
- Do not open. This product is not user-serviceable.
- Do not block or insert objects into the amplifier's ventilation openings.
- Avoid dropping the amplifier; this risks product damage.
- When in use, the external surface of the amplifier heats up, especially the top. Avoid contact in this area and keep the amplifier out of reach of children.
- Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for extended periods.
- This amplifier can produce high sound pressure levels. Avoid continuous exposure to levels above 85dB to prevent hearing damage.
- Speaker output connections may carry voltage levels when the amplifier is operating. Ensure the amplifier is OFF before making any connections or disconnections at these terminals.
- If you wish to dispose of this amplifier, do not throw it in household waste. It must be collected by a specialized electronic waste disposal service for proper recycling.
⚠️ CAUTION: This symbol indicates important instructions. Failure to follow them may result in risk of injury to the user or product damage.
Front Panel
The front panel features controls and indicators for the amplifier:
- 1 - Rack Mount Holes: Used to fix the T 2400 in a standard 19" rack.
- 2 - CLIP LED (Channel A): Flashes with the music, indicating the amplifier is operating at the distortion threshold for Channel A.
- 3 - SIGNAL LED (Channel A): Indicates the presence of an audio signal at the input of Channel A.
- 4 - VOLUME (Channel A): Adjusts the volume for Channel A.
- 5 - VOLUME (Channel B): Adjusts the volume for Channel B.
- 6 - SIGNAL LED (Channel B): Indicates the presence of an audio signal at the input of Channel B.
- 7 - CLIP LED (Channel B): Flashes with the music, indicating the amplifier is operating at the distortion threshold for Channel B.
- 8 - ON/OFF SWITCH: Powers the amplifier on and off.
Rear Panel
The rear panel provides connection points for power and audio:
- 1 - AC POWER INPUT: Connect the power cable to the electrical mains. This product operates with 127V AC or 220V AC (automatic bivolt). The internal wiring diagram shows: Green & Yellow wire for Earth, Brown/Blue wire for AC voltage. ⚠️ CAUTION: Do not open; risk of electric shock due to internal fuse.
- 2 - OUT B: Speaker output for Channel B. Follow the indicated polarity and the recommended minimum impedance of 4 Ohms.
- 3 - OUT A: Speaker output for Channel A. Follow the indicated polarity and the recommended minimum impedance of 4 Ohms.
- 4 - INPUT: Audio inputs (unbalanced) via 1/4" or RCA connectors. These are used to connect audio mixers, equalizers, audio processors, receivers, etc.
Connection Example
The diagram illustrates connecting the amplifier's inputs to an audio source (like a player or mixer) and its outputs to speakers.
Signal Inputs: Use 1/4" or RCA connectors to link to audio mixers, equalizers, audio processors, receivers, etc.
⚠️ CAUTION: Due to voltage present at the output terminals when the product is on, avoid contact. Risk of electric shock. Connect signals with the amplifier volumes set to minimum. Connect output cables only when the product is OFF.
Connection to the AC Mains
The wall power outlet must be adequately rated to withstand the amplifier's maximum current draw. Avoid using adapters or multi-plugs (like "benjamins").
