Quick Installation Guide
(Hilbert Industrial Smart Lite Switches)
Content Overview
This document provides a quick installation guide for Level One Hilbert Industrial Smart Lite Switches. It covers power connection, logging onto the equipment, configuring network settings for Windows and macOS, and using the LevelOne IP Locator application. Safety instructions and disposal information are also included.
Power Connecting Procedure
Requirement: For operation, a DC Industrial Power Supply is needed (sold separately).
The procedure involves connecting power using a 4-pin terminal block. The diagram shows redundant power inputs with a terminal block.
Diagram Description: A diagram shows a 4-pin terminal block with screw terminals labeled V1+, V1-, V2+, V2-, and Ground. Arrows indicate wires being connected to these terminals, and the block is shown being inserted back into a device.
Note: DC Industrial Power Supply Sold Separately
Logging On to the Equipment
Connect the RJ-45 interface cable of an industrial switch to a computer using a network cable.
Diagram Description: An illustration shows a laptop computer connected via an RJ-45 cable to a series of Level One Hilbert Industrial Switches. A separate DC Industrial Power Supply unit is depicted, connected via a wire.
Note: The Industrial switch is an indoor device. If you need to use it to connect outdoor devices such as outdoor IP cameras or outdoor WiFi Access Points via cable, you need to install an arrester on the cable between the outdoor device and the switch.
