Product Overview
With inverter technology, the PROGYS 250 TRI is a portable three-phase MMA / TIG generator with exceptional welding performance. Designed around the latest generation electronics and a reinforced structure, this machine offers maximum productivity for industrial users, even in the harshest environments. Its VRD system, which can be activated, protects the welder in dangerous areas (mines, chemical plants, shipyards, etc.).
Welding Modes
MMA (SMAW) / TIG Lift
- MMA: Compatible with rutile, basic, and cellulosic electrodes (up to 5 mm diameter).
- TIG DC: Features Lift ignition (1.0 to 2.4 mm diameter).
Welding Aids
- Hot Start: Adjustable for easier arc striking.
- Arc Force: Adjustable for temporary current increase in difficult welding situations.
- Antisticking: Reduces the risk of electrode sticking when in contact with the workpiece.
Intensive Use Features
- High productivity thanks to its high duty cycle (230 A @ 60%).
- High open-circuit voltage (82 V) to ensure arc stability and facilitate the start of high-penetration cellulosic electrodes.

Control Panel Description
The control panel features digital displays for Voltage (V) and Amperage (A). It includes adjustable knobs for Arc Force, Welding Intensity, and Hot Start, each with min/max settings. Indicators for VRD status are present, along with a Mode selection button.
Display indications include: Voltage during welding, and No-load voltage (after welding).

VRD System
- The VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) can be activated via an internal switch to reduce the open-circuit output voltage to 20 V, enhancing safety.
