Important Safety Information
DANGER: Turn off all power before installing and inspecting the product. Failure to follow these instructions can cause serious injury or personal injury.
WARNING: This product has been evaluated for conformity for use in a business environment, and may cause radio interference when used in a home environment.
Please check the product regularly for safe use.
The warranty period of the product is 18 months after shipment.
All setting items required for motor operation should be set according to the load. Improper settings can cause motor damage.
All electrical installation, inspection, and repairs should be performed by authorized personnel.
If the network's harmonics are above the IEC limits, an appropriate external filter must be installed. If not installed, it may cause product damage, fault, or malfunction.
Installation and Mounting
Mounting: Flush mounting is supported.
Wiring Recommendations:
- Avoid secondary grounding for ZCT.
- ZCT secondary shielding is recommended.
- Keep the PDM Display unit communication cable away from the main power and control power line cable.
Dimensions: Detailed dimensions are provided in the diagrams.
Operation and Settings
Display Unit (PDM): Features an automatically-scrolling display.
Basic Operation:
- Press UP or DN to navigate menu items.
- Press SET to enter parameter modification mode (parameter blinks).
- Press UP or DN to adjust the blinking parameter.
- Press SET again to save the parameter.
- Press ESC or wait 50 seconds to return to normal display mode.
Key Functions:
- UP/DN: Navigate menus and adjust parameters.
- SET: Enter parameter mode, confirm settings.
- ESC: Exit menus, return to normal display.
Hidden Menu Access: Press ESC and SET together for over 5 seconds to enter the Hidden Menu.
Protection Functions and Trip Causes
The EOCR provides various protection functions, including:
- Over Current (OC): Trip occurs when current exceeds the set threshold for a specified duration.
- Under Current (UC): Trip occurs when current drops below the set threshold for a specified duration.
- Current Imbalance (Ub): Protection against phase current imbalance.
- Phase Loss (PL): Trip due to the loss of a phase.
- Reverse Phase (RP): Protection against reverse phase sequence during starting.
- Ground Fault (GF): Trip due to ground fault current exceeding the set value.
- Earth Leakage (EL): Protection against earth leakage current.
- Jam Protection (JA): Trip due to a locked rotor while the motor is running.
- Stall Protection (SC): Trip due to a locked rotor during starting.
- PDM Communication Loss: Indicates loss of communication between the PDM and the EOCR body.
- Auto Restart Failures: Indicates failure to restart within the specified auto-restart attempts.
Trip Cause Indication: The display indicates the cause of the trip, such as Under Current, Over Current, Current Imbalance, Phase Loss, Ground Fault, Earth Leakage, Jam, Stall, and PDM Communication Loss.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
Internal Faults:
- EEPROM Error: If an EEPROM error occurs and persists after power cycling, replace the EOCR.
- Power LED Blinking: Rapid blinking of the Power LED indicates an internal system failure. If the issue persists after power cycling, replace the EOCR.
Hidden Menu Functions:
- RST Current Calibration: Adjust R, S, T, and Earth Current readings between 70% and 130%.
- FW Version/Reference Code Display: Toggle display of firmware version and reference code.
- Analog 4~20mA Correction: Adjust analog current output from -99% to +99%.
- Reset Motor Running Hours: Reset accumulated motor running hours.
- Reset Fault History: Clear the fault history log.
- Reset to Factory Default: Restore all settings to factory defaults.
- Internal System Error Reset Option: Choose between automatic or manual reset for internal system errors.
Fault History Inquiry: Press the Fault button to view the most recent trip cause and phase. Use the DN button to cycle through R, S, T currents and ground fault current (for specific models). Press DN again to inquire about previous trips.
Wiring Diagrams and Model Information
Detailed wiring diagrams are provided for various EOCR models:
- EOCR-3DE / EOCR-FDE
- EOCR-3EZ / EOCR-FEZ (A type and C type)
- EOCR-3E420 / EOCR-FE420

Configuration Menu Details
The Configuration Menu allows for detailed setup of the EOCR's functions:
- System Settings Mode: Configure parameters like Over Current Threshold, Starting Delay Time, Over Current Duration, Under Current Threshold, Under Current Duration, Time-Current Characteristic (TCC class), Reversed Phase Detection, Fail Safe Mode, Star-Delta selection, Power Network Type, and Password.
- Current Settings Mode: Set Jam Threshold, Jam Fault Duration, Stall Threshold, Stall Fault Duration, Phase Loss, Phase Loss Duration, Unbalance Threshold, Unbalance Duration, Auto Reset Timer, Limit of Auto Reset, Timeout Alarm Threshold, Alert Threshold, and Reset Type.
- Assistant Functions Mode: Configure Ground Fault Threshold, Ground Fault Starting Delay, and Alarm Output behavior (e.g., contact behavior for low current detection).
Note: For safety reasons, all settings are only possible when the motor is stopped. Settings are visible but not adjustable while the motor is running.
External ZCT Recommendation: An external ZCT is recommended for motors with a rating above 22kW (380/220V).
