As Dual 2-ohm and Dual 4-ohm configurations with our easy single terminal impedance selector, Cerwin-Vega subwoofers offer flexibility in system design, allowing for optimized impedance matching with various amplifiers for peak performance.

Integrated Impedance Selector

To help installation, Cerwin-Vega Mobile designed a simple but effective single terminal Dual Voice coil setup. Simply pull out the terminal, rotate it to the impedance desired. The impedance above the terminal is the impedance of the driver now, with only one set of speaker wires going to it. No complicated wiring anymore!!!

Wiring Configuration

VEGA subwoofers (V65DV2/V65DV4) feature dual 2Ω or 4Ω voice coils. It is essential that both coils be connected to an amplification source. When the dual 2Ω voice coils are wired in parallel, they present a 1Ω load to the amplifier, while wiring them in series results in a 4Ω load. Similarly, for the dual 4Ω voice coils, a parallel connection yields a 2Ω load, and a series connection provides an 8Ω load. Make certain that your source unit or amplifier is rated for the appropriate ohm load to ensure proper operation.

The illustration below shows how to wire V65DV2 and V65DV4.

The use of a sub-sonic filter set at a minimum of 30Hz is recommended on all vented enclosures.

Warranty

CERWIN VEGA (a division of CV & DA Holdings, Inc.) warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase provided, it was purchased from an authorized Cerwin Vega, retailer within the United States.

THIS WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERABLE AND APPLIES ONLY TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE OF THIS PRODUCT IN ITS ORIGINAL INSTALLATION. The original purchaser must reside in the United States and be able to provide proof of purchase and installation with the sales from the authorized Cerwin Vega retailer and completion of online registration that sold and installed the product.

Should a manufacturing defect occur during above said warranty period, Cerwin Vega will replace or repair the defective product with a product of the same or equivalent value and performance. Damage or failure caused by any of the following is not covered under this warranty policy: burnt voice coils, negligence, improper use, abuse, product modification, unauthorized repair attempts, accident, acts of God, misrepresentations by Cerwin Vega retailers, and improper/inadequate packaging during return shipping.
