Important Safety Information
WARNING: This manual must be read and understood before installation, adjustment, service, or maintenance is performed. This unit must be installed by a qualified service technician. Modification of this product can be extremely hazardous and could result in personal injury or property damage.
Installation Prerequisites
Wall thickness specifications:
- S7-Window: 24-42 mm (15/16" - 1 21/32")
- S7Z-Window: 28-40 mm (1 3/32" - 1 9/16")
Prerequisite for correct installation is a flat outer wall surface of the vehicle. The installation location must not impair adjacent components, cables, or fitted cupboards, nor detract from the functions of fastening or reinforcing components.
To avoid damage to the wall, the cut-out must be sturdy, for example, reinforced with wooden frames (not included). The vehicle wall must be constructed to transfer the power of the clamps.
Remark: No liability is assumed for incorrect installation of the S7-/S7Z-Window.
Installation Steps
- Ascertain the position of the S7-/S7Z-Window according to the conditions mentioned above.
- Determine the dimensions of the cut-out. The aperture size corresponds to the ordering size of the window. Max. Tolerance of the cut out +1/32" [1mm]/-0. Corner radius 4 x R 2-15/16" [75 mm]. (See diagram illustration).
Diagram illustration: Shows cut-out dimensions with labels A (width) and B (height). Radius is specified as 2-15/16" [75 mm]. Formulas for A and B are given: A = xxx +1/32" [1mm]/-0, B = xxx +1/32" [1mm]/-0.
- To avoid scratches on the wall surface, cover the perimeter with sticky tape before cutting. Execute the cut-out with a suitable tool (e.g., jig saw or routing machine). (See Photo 2 illustration).
Photo 2 illustration: Shows a hand holding a jig saw or routing machine cutting the vehicle wall, with sticky tape applied to the perimeter.
- Remove insulating material between the wall's outer surface and inner lining for a depth of about 1" [25 mm] all around the perimeter. (Depth depends on reinforcing frames). (See Photo 3 illustration).
Photo 3 illustration: Shows hands removing insulating material from the wall cavity around the cut-out area.
- Insert reinforcing frames (e.g., wood). This reinforcing frame is needed to prevent permanent compression of insulating material and bending of the wall. (See Photo 4 illustration).
Photo 4 illustration: Shows a wooden reinforcing frame being inserted into the wall cavity, secured with a hammer.
- Place the frame into the cut-out to check the exact position before applying sealant.
- Clean the wall surface where the sealant is to be applied, following the sealant supplier's instructions. (See Photo 5 illustration).
Photo 5 illustration: Shows a hand cleaning the wall surface with a cloth.
- Apply a bead of permanently elastic sealant all around the corner of the frame to seal it to the vehicle wall.
- Position the outer frame from the outside, ensuring it is aligned horizontally with an equal contact surface all around. Screw the frame and clamps together from the inside.
- The clamps are covered by a seal from inside. (See Photo 7 cross-section illustration).
Photo 7 illustration: Diagram showing a cross-section of the S7Z window, detailing components like fixed cam, sliding cam, sliding belt, and seal.
- Check function after installation.
- Remove the protective foil from the window pane.
Clamp and Screw Specifications
Attention: Only flat head screws (d=3.9mm) can be used. Clamp type and screw length depend on wall thickness.

Approximate Clamp Requirements
The amount of clamps used depends on the window size. It is recommended to install the first two clamps on the right and left side at the bottom. If the frame is not aligned with an equal contact surface, use more clamps as shown in the table.

Operating Instructions
Attention: Always close the window before setting off or leaving the vehicle.
S7-Windows Operation
To open the window, all toggle catches must be opened. Press the knob in the middle of the toggle catch and turn 90°. The pane swivels open and locks in position. To close, push the pane open slightly, then slowly close it. Stays allow closing from any engaged position. To lock, press the knob and turn all toggle catches 90°.
S7Z-Window Operation
Use one toggle catch (central locking system) to open. Press the red button in the middle of the toggle catch and turn 90° anticlockwise. (See Photo 8 illustration).
Photo 8 illustration: Shows the S7Z window toggle catch with a red safety button, indicating the operation to open the window.
The right journal of the handle moves the fixed cam on the sliding belt and the sliding cam, freeing the pane's fixed cams for outward swiveling. (See Photo 9 illustration).
Photo 9 illustration: Shows the window handle and sliding belt mechanism in operation.
Open the window until it locks. To close, swivel the pane outwards slightly, then close slowly. Stays allow closing from any engaged position.
Attention! If the lock cam on the sliding belt accidentally moves to an open position, carefully move it back by hand to allow insertion of the tenon into the cam mortise. Otherwise, the window cannot be closed! (See Photo 10 and 11 illustrations).

The toggle catch's central locking system has a red safety button. Always press this button firmly for long-term function. Failure to do so can damage the button and the system. Do not use force!
Night Ventilation and Care Instructions
Night Ventilation Position
The toggle catch can be used to close the window completely or fix it in a ventilating position. Turn the toggle catch 90° anticlockwise and swivel the window 5/16" [8mm]. Turn the toggle catch again 90° anticlockwise to lock it. (See Photo 12 and 13 illustrations).
Photo 12 illustration: Shows the window toggle catch in the night ventilation position.
Photo 13 illustration: Shows the window toggle catch in the night ventilation position, illustrating the 90° turn.
Care Instructions
To clean the window, use clear water. For dirtier surfaces, use warm water and a mild washing-up liquid. Always use plenty of water; never clean a dry window.
Clean the frame and sliding belt with a damp cloth. For heavier dirt, use the cloth with watery washing-up liquid or washing powder. Avoid liquids containing solvents or alkaline working liquids.
