Helix TV Terminal Installation Guide

Gateway Activation Check
Is your Helix Fi gateway activated and configured?
Yes: Skip to the next step.
No: Make sure you activate and configure it before you install your Helix TV terminal.

Installation Steps
Step 1: Plug in your terminal
Connect the HDMI cable to your terminal's HDMI port and to the HDMI port of your TV.
Connect the power pack to your terminal and plug it into a power outlet that is not controlled by a dimmer or wall switch.
[Tip] Only use the power pack provided with your terminal.

Wait until the indicator light on your terminal flashes before moving on to the next step.
Step 2: Turn on your TV
Turn on your television with your TV remote and select the appropriate HDMI source.
Step 3: Follow the instructions on your screen
Your terminal will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network. Otherwise, follow the steps on-screen to connect your terminal.
[Tip] If your terminal is positioned at least 4 feet (1.2 m) from your gateway, for optimal performance, we recommend plugging it directly using the Ethernet cable included in the Helix Fi gateway box.
Remove the plastic tab on the back of the voice remote.
Follow the instructions on your screen to configure your terminal and voice remote.
Step 4: Ensure your experience is secure
With voice command, say "Settings".
- Select "Parental Control" if you want to limit access to adult content.
- Select "Purchase PIN" to prevent unwanted or impulse purchases.
Your Helix TV terminal and voice remote are now working! ✔️

Eco-friendly tips
- Don't throw out the Velcro! Use it to tie your cables together and make them easier to identify when calling for service.
- Your box can be recycled! It's manufactured in Québec using locally recycled fibres.
- Recycle your old devices. Keep your old devices in order to eventually return them to a Videotron store to be recycled.
