Getting Started

  1. Initial Charge: Ensure the device battery is fully charged. A fully charged battery provides approximately 3 hours of operation. The device screen will indicate battery status (Diagram 1 shows a low battery indicator ?, Diagram 8 shows a full battery).
  2. Connect Power: Connect the AC power supply components (Diagram 2) to the device. Plug the power supply into a standard electrical outlet to charge the battery and operate the device from mains power (Diagram 3).
  3. Connect Cannula: Attach one end of the nasal cannula to the oxygen outlet port on the Inogen One G5 device. Ensure a secure connection (Diagram 4).

Device Operation

The Inogen One G5 features an intuitive control panel and LCD display for easy operation.

Control Panel: Use the buttons to manage the device:

  • Power button: To turn the device on/off.
  • '+' button: To increase the oxygen flow setting.
  • '-' button: To decrease the oxygen flow setting.
  • Bell button (?): To silence alarms.

LCD Display: The screen provides essential information, including:

  • Current time (e.g., 1:45)
  • Battery level percentage (e.g., 86%)
  • Oxygen flow setting (e.g., setting 2)
  • Status indicators and alarms.

The device offers adjustable oxygen flow settings, typically ranging from 1 to 6 (R = 1-6).

Battery and Charging

The portable battery is crucial for mobile use. A fully charged battery offers approximately 3 hours of continuous operation at a setting of 2. The battery can be recharged using the AC power supply connected to the device. The battery status is clearly displayed on the LCD screen (Diagram 8).
