• 1911: Eaton founded.
• 1979: Cutler-Hammer joined Eaton, significantly growing its business in power control, switches, and protection devices.
• 1994: Westinghouse Electric's acquisition made Eaton a leading supplier of electrical products.
• 2004: Powerware's uninterruptible power supply (UPS) products made Eaton a comprehensive and rapidly growing supplier of high-quality UPS solutions.
• 2008: Moeller's circuit protection and industrial control products became industry leaders in Europe. Santak significantly increased Eaton's market recognition and share in the uninterruptible power supply market in China and Asia Pacific. Phoenixtec's single-phase and three-phase UPS products held a leading position in the UPS market.
• 2012: Cooper Industries was acquired by Eaton, marking the largest acquisition in Eaton's history. This merger strengthened both companies, making Eaton a leading global electrical equipment supplier. B-Line and Bussmann, acquired as part of Cooper, provided connection and protection systems and circuit protection solutions, respectively.
• 2019: Ulusoy Electric's medium-voltage solutions enhanced Eaton's competitiveness in the medium-voltage market in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Innovative Switchgear Solutions (ISG) provided compact, low-maintenance, and highly configurable medium-voltage switchgear solutions, further complementing Eaton's medium-voltage switchgear product portfolio.
• 2020: HUYU Electrical's joint venture with Huayu Electrical established a presence in China and the Asia-Pacific region, offering various low-voltage electrical components. Tripp Lite's power protection, connectivity, and IT infrastructure products are leaders in North America and globally.
• 2021: CCSP's joint venture with CCSP Group expanded power distribution business and better served data center and commercial market customers.
• 2022: PDI's acquisition enabled Eaton to offer more excellent critical power product solutions.
• 2023: Ri-Yuan's joint venture with Ri-Yuan Electric expanded the transformer product and solution business in the Asia-Pacific region, meeting the demand for high-growth markets. Phono Electric's joint venture with Phono Electric strengthened their partnership to expand business in high-growth markets such as renewable energy and grid modernization. Abunayyan Holding's joint venture with Abunayyan Holding produced and sold medium and low-voltage switchgear products in the Middle East.
