2. Charging

Charging time: Approx. 3 hours

Use USB-Type C cable (5V-3A). Cable not included.

3. Mounting & Powering On

Compatible smartphones: Less than 7 inches (weight: up to 500g, width: 58mm-90mm, thickness: less than 12.5mm)

Powering On: Long press the Power Button for 3 seconds.

4. Bluetooth Connection

The remote automatically connects with the gimbal via Bluetooth by default.

5. Usage Modes

Handheld Mode

6. Buttons on the Handle

Power Button:
Long press: On/Off
Single press: Reverse charging (in power off state)
Double press: Enter/Exit standby mode
Press five times: Auto gimbal calibration
Trigger:
Single press: Start/Pause/Resume AI tracking (used in preview with tracking target selected or during tracking)
Double press: Recenter the gimbal
Triple press: Forward-facing/Backward-facing phone position
Press four times: Ultra-Wide-Angle Mode
Press and hold: All Lock Mode
Single press + Press and hold: Sports Mode
Side Roller:
Press the button to select the function, then rotate the roller for smooth adjustment.
- Fill Light Control:
  Long press: Turn on/off the fill light
  Triple press: Switch to CCT/RGB
  Single press: Submenu switch (brightness/color)
- Motor Rotation:
  Double press: Select motor control (under focus and motor control)
  Single press: Submenu switch (pan/tilt/roll)
- Focus Control:
  Double press: Select focus control (under focus and motor control)
A-B Button:
Used to set start and end points for motion timelapse shots.
Long press: Set A/B point
Single press: Quickly return to A/B point
Double press: Smoothly rotate to A/B point (default rotation time is 1 minute, adjustable via Hohem Joy app or touchscreen)

7. AI Tracker

Powering On:

Attach AI tracker.
Toggle the switch to "ON".

Gesture Control:

Start AI Tracking: [Gesture to start tracking]
Stop AI Tracking: [Gesture to stop tracking]

Shutter Control: Bluetooth connection needed.

Person and Object Tracking: Ensure AI tracker is turned on.

Swipe right on the screen.
Real-time AI tracking preview.
Double tap the tracking target.
AI tracker recognizes the target and starts tracking.

Tips: Drag-select the target and single press the side button/trigger to start AI tracking. During tracking, single press the side button/trigger to pause/resume AI tracking. Triple tap the screen to stop AI tracking.

Note: It is normal for the pogo pins to heat up during use. Avoid direct contact to prevent burns.

8. Buttons on the Remote

Side Button:
Single press: Start AI tracking (used in preview with target selected)
Pause/Resume AI tracking (used in preview during tracking)
Double press: Recenter the gimbal
Triple press: Forward-facing/Backward-facing phone position
Press four times: Ultra-Wide-Angle Mode
Long press: AI tracking calibration
Mode Button:
Single press: Switch working mode
Triple press: 360° infinite pan rotation
Press five times: Auto gimbal calibration
Zoom Lever: Lever up/down: Zoom in/out
Shutter Button:
Half-press: Auto focus
Single press: Take a photo or start/stop recording
Double press: Photo/Video
Triple press: Front/Rear camera
Long press: Power on/off the remote (when attached to the handle, it powers the gimbal on/off simultaneously)

[1] Used within Hohem Joy app after Bluetooth connection.
[2] Bluetooth connection needed.
[3] When the remote is attached to the handle, it will power on/off the gimbal simultaneously.

9. Touchscreen Interface

Home Screen Elements:

Joystick: Push up/down for tilt, left/right for pan. In AI tracking calibration mode, use the joystick to adjust the preview frame.

Gimbal Overloading Indicator: Slow flash: Gimbal overloading; Solid: Firmware anomaly
Gimbal Battery Indicator: Solid: 50%~100%/Fully charged; Solid: 25%~50%; Solid: < 25%; Quick flash: Shutting down soon; Pulse: Gimbal standby
