Product Overview
Illustration of the Keurig K-Latte brewer and frother. The brewer is a compact single-serve coffee maker with a drip tray and a handle for inserting K-Cup pods. To its right is a separate frother unit with a power button.
Before You Brew
Plug & Place
Remove packing tape from the brewer and frother. Plug into a grounded outlet. Place the frother base on the side of the brewer. Place a large mug (10oz minimum) on the drip tray.
Rinse & Fill
Remove the water reservoir lid. Lift the reservoir straight up to remove it. Rinse the reservoir with fresh water and fill to the MAX fill line. Replace the reservoir, ensuring the lock tabs engage with the brewer. Replace the lid. Do not use distilled water.
Clean the Frother
Remove the lid and whisk from inside the frother. Wash the interior of the frother, lid, and whisk with warm, soapy water. Dry all parts thoroughly with a soft, non-abrasive cloth, then reassemble. Note: The frother is not dishwasher safe. Do not submerge the frother in water. Use only non-abrasive cleaning materials. Dry the interior of the frother and base with a soft cloth after cleaning.
Power On
Press the power button. The green power light will illuminate. The brewer will automatically begin heating water for approximately 4 minutes. The brewer is ready when the heating sound stops.
Cleansing Brew
Lift and lower the brewer handle without inserting a K-Cup pod. The three brew buttons and SHOT button will blink. Press the 6oz button to start a cleansing brew. Pour the hot water into the sink. This one-time setup process is now complete.
Note: The brewer may take about a minute to reheat between brew cycles.

Caring For Your Brewer (Continued)
K-Cup® Pod Holder
To remove, lift handle, grasp top of holder, and push up from underneath until it releases. Align with opening and snap into place. Caution: Sharp needles are present; do not put fingers in the holder. Note: Always remove and dispose of used K-Cup pod after brewing.
Funnel
Wash regularly for a fresh beverage experience. Remove by pulling until it pops off. Replace by orienting snaps to the indent and snapping back.
Exit Needle
Remove pod holder assembly and funnel. Locate exit needle at the bottom of the pod holder. Insert a straightened paper clip to loosen coffee grounds.
Entrance Needle
Lift brewer handle. Locate entrance needle on the underside of the lid. Insert a straightened paper clip into both holes to loosen coffee grounds. Lower handle completely and run two water-only brew cycles. Do not insert a K-Cup pod. Tip: Refer to support.keurig.com for video instructions.
Descaling Your Brewer
Descale your brewer every 3-6 months. Calcium deposits or scale can build up and hinder performance. Regular descaling maintains the heating element and internal parts.
Descaling Procedure
You will need: a large ceramic mug, fresh water, Keurig® Descaling Solution, and access to a sink. Allow approximately 45 minutes.
STEP 1: Cleansing Rinse
Turn off the brewer. Pour an entire bottle of Keurig® Descaling Solution into the emptied water reservoir. Fill the empty bottle with water and pour into the reservoir. Turn the brewer back on. Place a large mug on the drip tray and run a rinsing brew using the largest brew size. Do not use a K-Cup pod.
STEP 2: Internal Tank Soak
Repeat the rinsing brew process until the "add water" light illuminates. Do not use a K-Cup pod. Let the brewer stand for at least 30 minutes while still on. After 30 minutes, discard residual solution and rinse thoroughly.
STEP 3: Fresh Water Rinse
Fill the water reservoir with fresh water to the MAX fill line. Place a large mug on the drip tray and run a rinsing brew using the largest brew size. Do not use a K-Cup pod. Pour contents into the sink. Repeat brew process until you have completed at least 12 rinsing brews using the largest brew size. You may need to refill the water reservoir.
Note: Foam dispensed from the brewer during cleaning is natural. If the brewer does not fill properly after adding descaler, turn off/unplug, discard solution, rinse reservoir, refill with water, plug in, power on, and repeat Step 3. If problems persist, let the brewer sit unplugged for 30 minutes before continuing the rinse.
