Connecting Your Sound Bar
Dolby Atmos®
Dolby Atmos provides an immersive listening experience by developing sound in 3 dimensions, offering richness, clarity, and power. For more information, visit dolby.com/technologies/dolby-atmos.
To use Dolby Atmos®:
Dolby Atmos is only available when your sound bar is connected using the HDMI ARC or HDMI sockets with a HDMI 2.0 cable. While other connection methods (like Digital Optical) will allow the sound bar to function, they may not support all Dolby Atmos features. For the full Dolby Atmos experience, connecting via a HDMI 2.0 cable into the HDMI ARC or HDMI ports is recommended.
Connecting to the HDMI OUT ARC Socket using an HDMI Cable
IMPORTANT:
The ARC (Audio Return Channel) function allows audio from your ARC-compliant TV to be sent to your Sound Bar via a single HDMI connection. For the ARC function to work, ensure your TV is both HDMI-CEC and ARC compliant and configured correctly. When set up properly, you can use your TV remote to adjust the volume or mute the Sound Bar.
- Connect one end of an HDMI cable (not supplied) into the HDMI OUT ARC socket on the back of the Sound Bar.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable into an HDMI OUT ARC socket on the TV or other device you wish to connect.
TIPS: Your TV must support HDMI-CEC and ARC functions, and both must be set to ON. The specific settings may vary by TV model. Refer to your TV's user manual. HDMI 2.0 or higher version cables are recommended.
Connecting to the HDMI IN Sockets using an HDMI Cable
If your device is not HDMI ARC compatible, you can connect it using the standard HDMI IN ports on the Sound Bar and an HDMI cable. Note: The package does not include an HDMI cable.
- Use an HDMI cable to connect the soundbar's HDMI OUT (eARC/ARC) socket to the TV's HDMI IN socket.
- Use an HDMI cable to connect the soundbar's HDMI IN (1 or 2) socket to your external devices (e.g., games consoles, DVD players, Blu-ray players).
