Important Safety Precautions
Please read the manual carefully before using the product.
- Always hand over the product to a third party with the manual.
- Do not continue to use a product that is obviously defective.
- Only use the product in environments where the use of devices employing Bluetooth® wireless transmission is permitted.
Preventing Health Damage and Accidents
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use the product near water or expose it to rain or moisture.
- To prevent accidents, keep the product, accessories, and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Small parts may be inhaled or swallowed.
Preventing Product Damage and Malfunctions
- To prevent corrosion or deformation, always keep the product dry and do not expose it to extreme temperatures (hair dryer, heating devices, prolonged sunlight, etc.).
- The normal operating temperature is between 0–40 °C.
- When connecting the hardware key to a PC/Mac computer via the USB-A adapter, there is a risk that the protruding hardware key and/or the USB port may be damaged if the hardware key is subjected to mechanical stress. To reduce mechanical stress, use a USB extension cable.
- Only use accessories/spare parts supplied or recommended by Sonova Consumer Hearing.
- For cleaning, use only a soft, dry cleaning cloth.
- Use and store the product with care in a clean, dust-free environment.
Information on Data Collection and Processing, and Firmware Updates
This product stores unique settings, such as pairing information for connected Bluetooth devices. This data is necessary for the product's operation and is not transmitted to or processed by Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH or companies commissioned by Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH.
The product's firmware can be updated free of charge via the internet using the "Sennheiser Dongle Control" application. If the PC/Mac running the application is connected to the internet, the following data is automatically transferred and processed by Sonova Consumer Hearing servers to obtain the appropriate firmware updates: product article number. The data is only used for obtaining and transferring firmware updates and is not stored permanently. If you do not wish for this data to be transferred and processed, do not connect to the internet.
Intended Use/Liability
This product is designed for Bluetooth wireless audio communication between smartphones or PCs/Macs and headphones.
Improper use means using the product for applications not mentioned in the relevant product documentation.
Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH is not liable for malfunctions of devices that do not comply with the specifications for the respective (USB) devices. Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH is not liable for connection interruptions due to exceeding the Bluetooth transmission range.
Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH is not liable for damage caused by improper use or damage to the product or its accessories.
Please review the regulations for the country of use before putting the product into operation.

Hardware Key with USB-A Adapter
The hardware key consists of the following parts:
- 1. Pairing button: Used to switch device functions (e.g., pairing).
- 2. USB-C hardware key
- 3. Status LED: Indicates the operating status of the hardware key.
- 4. USB-C connector
- 5. USB-C socket
- 6. USB-A adapter (USB-C --> USB-A)

The status LED on the hardware key indicates the operating status of the hardware key as follows:

Getting Started
1. Connecting the Hardware Key to a Mobile Device or Computer (PC/Mac)
The hardware key is compatible with mobile devices and computers (PC/Mac). The hardware key can be connected to a USB-C socket or a USB-A socket using the included USB-A adapter.
No driver installation is required for connection. The system automatically recognizes the hardware key as an external sound card.
Note: The hardware key is intended for connection to smartphones or PC/Mac computers. It cannot be used with TVs or hi-fi devices.
Note: If you connect the hardware key directly to a mobile device, there is a risk that the protruding hardware key and/or the USB port may be damaged due to mechanical stress. To reduce mechanical stress, connect the hardware key using an extension cable.
Connecting the hardware key to a USB-C socket
Connect the hardware key to the USB-C socket of your mobile device or PC/Mac.
