Dimming Guide and Step-down Transformer Application Note
The LT LED Series provides continuous dimming with reverse or forward phase cut dimmers.

HALO HOME Smart Dimmer
The HALO Home In-wall Smart Dimmer (HIWMA1BLE40AWH) controls standard lighting fixtures with dimmer capabilities. It offers features such as ON/OFF, Dim, Group, Scene, and Schedule control via the HALO Home mobile app.

*Note: The Rapid Start feature provides a momentary power boost during start-up. If a dimmer with Rapid Start is used with an LED luminaire at a low setting, a momentary flash may occur. Some dimmers offer adjustment of this feature to reduce the flash. Select dimmers noted as "fully adjustable" or "selectable ON or OFF" for this capability.

Dimmer Notes
- Start time is measured at the lowest dimmer setting.
- Some LED dimmers feature a "rapid start" design to provide a momentary power boost to LED and CFL lamps during start-up. This "flash" may be more noticeable when the dimmer is at a low setting. Dimmers with adjustable "rapid start" capability (e.g., DAL06P, AAL06P, TAL06P) offer a solution. Refer to product specifications online at www.eaton.com/lighting for more details.

Step-down Transformers
Application Note: H277, H347, and H347200 step-down transformers are qualified to drive multiple Halo LED on a single circuit in Non-IC construction. Using these transformers individually on each fixture in a single circuit is not recommended due to potential issues with inductive currents and reactive power. If used individually, circuits must be sized for lower power factor and increased apparent power.
H277, H347, and H347200 are UL/cUL listed for use with Halo recessed housings: H750T, H750TCP, H7T, H7TNB, H7RT.
Transformer Specifications:
- H277 (277V Step Down Transformer, 300VA): Steps 277V down to 120V. Attaches to junction box knockout. UL recognized Component for Halo Non-IC housings.
- H347 (347V Step Down Transformer, 75VA): Steps 347V down to 120V. Attaches to junction box knockout. CSA/UL Listed Component for Halo Non-IC housings.
- H347200 (347V Step Down Transformer, 200VA): Steps 347V down to 120V. Attaches to junction box knockout. CSA/UL Listed Component for Halo Non-IC housings.
Transformer Load Information:
- H277 (300VA): Max power consumption: 16W. Power consumption in OFF mode: 6.5W (secondary side), 16W (primary side ON). Use of a dimmer ahead of the transformer is not recommended.
- H347 (75VA): Max power consumption: 15W. Power consumption in OFF mode: 2.5W (secondary side), 15W (primary side ON). Use of a dimmer ahead of the transformer is not recommended.
- H347200 (200VA): Max power consumption: 28W. Power consumption in OFF mode: 9.2W (secondary side), 28W (primary side ON). Use of a dimmer ahead of the transformer is not recommended.
