Terms and Conditions

Please read carefully. By registering for this program, you agree to the following terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) governing the Samsung Rewards Program.

A. Brief Description of the Samsung Rewards Program

The Samsung Rewards Program (hereinafter referred to as the “Program”) is a loyalty program sponsored by Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak, s.r.o. (hereinafter referred to as “Samsung”), through which natural persons (hereinafter referred to as “Participants” and individually as “Participant”) who have a valid Samsung account registration (ID) can earn points (hereinafter referred to as “Point/s”), which are credited to their Samsung rewards account (hereinafter referred to as “Rewards Account”) as described in these Terms. Participants can redeem their Points for rewards through the “Rewards Catalog” or through the website samsung.com/sk, as described below.

B. Eligibility and Participation in the Program

  1. Participation in the Program is open to residents of the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Participants must have a valid Samsung account registration (ID). If you do not have a Samsung account ID, please visit https://account.samsung.com and follow the links and instructions to create an account.
  2. The terms and conditions of the Samsung account, to which you agree when creating a Samsung account, form an integral part of these Terms. The currently valid version of these Samsung account terms and conditions is available here: https://account.samsung.com/membership/policy/terms. In case of any discrepancies or conflicts between these Terms and the Samsung account terms and conditions, these Terms shall prevail. The Program is intended only for natural persons – consumers who purchase products for personal use only. Natural persons engaged in business, commercial companies, associations, including schools or other organizations and groups, cannot participate in the Program.
  3. The Program and these Terms apply to earning points and redeeming them for rewards in Slovakia. Other Samsung companies in Europe may have their own separate Samsung Rewards Program. Points earned in a specific Samsung Rewards Program can only be redeemed for rewards in the same Program, unless they are transferred in accordance with section G of these Terms. You can also register your Rewards Account with other Samsung companies to earn Points and redeem them for rewards in multiple countries simultaneously. Your Point balance will be displayed separately for each of your Rewards Accounts.
  4. Registration. To join the Program and thus create a Rewards Account, the Participant must register on the website https://www.samsung.com/sk/rewards/ or submit a Samsung membership application from an email address registered with their Samsung account ID and must agree to these Terms. Continued participation in the Program by each Participant constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms in their current valid version, as they may be updated from time to time, and a declaration that the Participant meets the eligibility requirements for participation in the Program according to these Terms.

For each person/email address, a maximum of one (1) Rewards Account may be established, regardless of whether multiple people use the same email address, except as provided in section G of these Terms. The person who is the authorized holder of the relevant email account associated with the email address provided during registration (and who also meets the other eligibility criteria) is considered a Participant.

C. Program Duration, Amendments, and Termination

  1. The Program lasts until Samsung announces its termination. Samsung also reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend the Program or amend these Terms. Termination, changes, or suspension of the Program may affect a Participant's ability to redeem accrued Points for rewards. Samsung will inform Participants of the termination of the Program or material changes to these Terms as far in advance as possible, at least 3 months in advance in case of Program termination.
  2. Samsung may, at its sole discretion, modify, cancel, change, or supplement any Program benefits or features. Samsung will announce such actions to Participants as far in advance as possible.
  3. Examples of measures Samsung may take under this section include modifying the right to earn or redeem Program points, including the redemption rate, changes or cancellations of status, and changes or cancellations of benefit tiers.
  4. Continued participation in the Program after the expiry of the relevant notice period constitutes the Participant's acceptance of the changes to these Terms. All changes apply to Points accrued to date. Participants who do not wish to accept the Program changes may stop using the Program.

D. Earning Points

  1. Earning Points by using other Samsung applications for mobile devices: Samsung may offer Points for using other Samsung applications for mobile devices available on some or all Samsung mobile devices (hereinafter referred to as “Selected Devices”), for using or interacting with them (at Samsung’s sole discretion and subject to possible subsequent changes). Each such offer will contain detailed information and conditions on how Points can be earned and when they will be credited to the Participant's Rewards Account.
  2. Earning Points by purchasing selected Samsung products: Samsung will offer Points for purchasing selected products through the samsung.com/sk website, as specified in the details on the respective product page (along with the number of Points offered for the purchase of that product), hereinafter referred to as “Selected Products”. The list of products considered Selected Products may change, but a reasonable offer of Selected Products will be available throughout the duration of the Samsung Rewards Program. Products purchased under a lease agreement (including mobile devices sold with a contract and SIM card) are not considered Selected Products, and therefore, it is not possible to earn Points for their purchase or redeem them for Points in accordance with Article F of these Terms. Payments for additional services, such as Samsung Care +, do not qualify for earning Points. The Participant earns Points as follows:
    1. The Participant must be logged into their Samsung account when paying for the purchase of a Selected Product (or Selected Products).
    2. The Participant will receive Points based on the final price paid at checkout for the Selected Product or Selected Products (regardless of whether the price is paid in full or if the Participant has approved Samsung financing or other financing). The final price will be calculated after deducting all discounts, including the use of Points for purchase, coupons, discount codes, and gift certificates, and excluding any shipping costs or taxes or other fees, if charged. The number of Points earned will be displayed after payment for the purchase.
    3. Points will be credited to the Rewards Accounts of individual Participants (after the relevant product return periods have expired, or after the refund option has expired). You can also earn Points for past purchases if you register for the Samsung Rewards Program during the product return period.
    4. If the Participant is not logged into their Samsung account during the purchase of a Selected Product, they forfeit the right to have Points credited later.
    5. Points earned from purchasing Selected Products do not affect the status of the Samsung Pay payment service.
  3. Samsung may offer Points for the purchase of certain specific Samsung products from certain specific retailers during a limited period (hereinafter referred to as “Purchases from Selected Retailers”). In such cases, Participants are required to upload receipts (invoices) proving the Purchase from Selected Retailers and provide all other requested information as proof of purchase. For each such offer, Samsung will provide detailed information, limitations, and terms for crediting Points to the Participant's Rewards Account.
  4. If, for any reason, a purchased Selected Product or a Purchase from a Selected Retailer is returned after the Points have been credited, Samsung reserves the right to deduct the corresponding number of Points from the Participant's Rewards Account.
  5. Earning Points through Special Offers: Samsung may also offer Points through various promotional offers targeted at some or all Participants for a limited period. Information about these offers may be published through the Samsung Members club application or through other communication channels, such as on the samsung.com/sk website. Each offer will include information and conditions, including how to participate and any applicable restrictions. Samsung may inform eligible Participants about these special opportunities through “push” notifications and/or email messages sent to the email address registered with the specific Samsung account, with the prior consent of the Participants for direct marketing communications.

E. Point Value, Expiration, and Balance Display

  1. Membership Tier. Participants can earn Points and Program benefits based on their membership tier in their Rewards Account. There are three (3) tiers: Blue, Gold, and Platinum. A Participant's membership tier is calculated based on total spending on eligible (qualified) purchases made in the last 24 months, as shown in the table below. If during this period a Participant's membership tier increases from Blue to Gold, the Participant will receive a bonus of 30,000 Points from Samsung. If the membership tier increases from Gold to Platinum during this period, the Participant will receive a bonus of 60,000 Points from Samsung. These bonus Points will be automatically credited to the Participant's Rewards Account.

  • Upon upgrading from Gold to Platinum tier, receive an additional bonus of 60,000 Points

2. A Participant can achieve membership tiers at any time by spending the required cumulative amount on qualified purchases as shown in the table above. This tier will remain valid as the minimum tier for the next 24 months from the date the tier is assigned according to the Tier Assignment Frequency. Participants must re-qualify for their membership tier after the 24-month period. A Participant's membership tier is based on the highest qualification level the Participant achieves, i.e., for example: if a Participant achieves cumulative spending of €2,500 by January 1, 2023, they will be assigned the “Gold” membership tier on February 10, 2023, and will retain this membership tier for the next 24 months until February 9, 2025 (unless they achieve a higher tier). If a higher tier is achieved within 24 months, a new 24-month period begins from the date the higher tier is assigned according to the Tier Assignment Frequency. The Participant's membership tier will be reassessed at the end of the 24-month period based on the cumulative spending for that 24-month period.

3. Tier Assignment Frequency: The membership tier evaluation period ends at 23:59:59 (AEST) on the last day of each month (“Monthly Evaluation Period”). If a Participant achieves a new membership tier during the Monthly Evaluation Period, the membership tier status will be assigned or adjusted around the 10th day of the following month.

4. Bonus Points: Samsung may offer promotions for bonus Points. Any changes to the rates for earning or redeeming Points will be detailed in the terms and conditions of the respective promotion.

5. Additional Tier Benefits: Samsung may offer additional tier benefits beyond those listed in the tier table above. All such benefits will be detailed in the terms and conditions of the respective promotion.

6. Inability to redeem Points for cash or transfer them. Points do not constitute property, do not entitle the Participant to acquire rights or shares, and have no monetary value. As such, Points cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred or assigned for any reason. Points cannot be transferred in the event of the Participant's death, as part of a family settlement, or otherwise by law. The sale or transfer of Points is strictly prohibited. Points cannot be sold on any secondary market, and any transfer of Points to a secondary market is considered invalid. Points cannot be transferred to other Samsung programs unless otherwise stated in these Terms or unless Samsung decides otherwise at its sole discretion.

7. Point Expiration. Points earned before December 28, 2023, will expire 24 months after they are credited to the Participant's Rewards Account, and Points earned after December 28, 2023, will expire 36 months after they are credited to the Participant's Rewards Account (the validity period). Points not redeemed within the validity period will expire and be forfeited. Samsung may inform Participants before their Points expire through the Samsung Members application, their Samsung account, or by email.

8. Display of Earned Points Balance in the Participant's Rewards Account. The number of Points accrued by the Participant will be displayed in the Participant's Samsung Account and, if applicable, in the Samsung Members application. Points will be credited to the Participant's Rewards Account fourteen (14) days after the delivery of a qualified purchase by the Participant. If, for any reason, Points were not correctly credited to the Rewards Account after a qualifying purchase, Participants may submit a request via 1:1 inquiry at the following link https://help.content.samsung.com/csweb/main/main.do for assessment and review by Samsung (“Point Request”). Any Point Request for Points that were not accurately credited must be received by Samsung from the Participant within seven (7) days of the redemption of such Points. Manual crediting of Points may take up to sixty (60) days. Samsung is not responsible for any printing, manufacturing, typographical, mechanical, or other errors in the Participant's Point balance or Rewards Account. Samsung reserves the right to invalidate Points from a Participant's Rewards Account if it determines that these Points were credited incorrectly or obtained fraudulently. Samsung reserves the right to request proof of Point acquisition and also reserves the right to postpone the processing or redemption of any Points without prior notice.

F. Redeeming Earned Points for Rewards

Points can only be used to purchase items listed in the Rewards Catalog or to purchase Selected Products through the website www.samsung.com/sk.

  1. Purchasing items from the Rewards Catalog
    1. The Participant can visit the Rewards Catalog within the Samsung Members club application and redeem their accrued Points for rewards listed therein.
    2. When purchasing items from the Rewards Catalog, follow the links and instructions for browsing the Rewards Catalog. Once the Participant finds an item they are interested in, they can purchase it by clicking the “Redeem for Points” button. The Participant will receive confirmation that the selected item has been purchased, and the corresponding number of Points will be deducted from their Rewards Account.
    3. Samsung reserves the right to change individual items offered in the Rewards Catalog and their point value.
    4. All purchases of items from the Rewards Catalog are final, with the corresponding Points being deducted from the Participant's Rewards Account.
    5. Samsung reserves the right to replace individual items with similar items of equal or greater value if the original item is unavailable or for any other reason.
    6. The process and time for fulfilling orders vary depending on the specific item purchased through the Rewards Catalog. Detailed information will be provided at the time of purchase.
    7. Unless otherwise stated in these Terms, the General Terms and Conditions available on the website www.samsung.com/sk https://images.samsung.com/is/content/samsung/assets/sk/pravidla/samsung-rewards.pdf apply to purchases made within the Program, including provisions relating to your statutory rights of withdrawal and warranty, except that any replacement will consist of a refund of Points used for the purchase.
  2. Using Points to purchase items on the website www.samsung.com/sk
    1. Points can be used for the purchase or partial purchase of Selected Products offered on the website www.samsung.com/sk, provided the Participant is logged into their Samsung account.
    2. The number of Points a Participant can use for a purchase and the corresponding discount for the product may be displayed at checkout. Points can be used to pay up to 90% of the purchase price.
    3. Points cannot be used to pay for additional services, such as Samsung Care +, shipping costs, taxes, or other fees.
    4. After completing the payment, the Points will be deducted from the Participant's Rewards Account. The deduction of Points is final, subject to the Participant's rights of withdrawal and return of goods, and except as specified below in points (e) and (f), no Points will be refunded.
    5. In cases where the return of Selected Products or the cancellation of a purchase agreement is permitted, Points will be returned to the Participant upon cancellation of the agreement or after Samsung confirms the satisfactory return of the relevant Selected Products.
    6. If the purchase was paid for using both cash and Points, or if multiple Selected Products were purchased but only some were returned satisfactorily, Points will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
    7. Samsung reserves the right to change the list of Selected Products offered for purchase, as well as their point value, at any time, provided that a reasonable offer of products will be available throughout the duration of the Samsung Rewards Program.

G. Transfer and Movement of Points

  1. Point Transfer – Eligibility and Availability
    1. If a Participant has accrued Points in multiple eligible countries, these Points are held in separate Rewards Accounts for each country, each overseen by the Samsung Electronics subsidiary operating the Samsung Rewards Program in that country.
    2. Participants may transfer Points from one Samsung Rewards Program to another (“Transfer”). To use the Transfer function, Participants must:
      1. have two active Samsung Rewards Accounts registered: a sending Account in one Samsung Rewards Program from which Points are transferred (“Sending Account”), and a recipient account in another Samsung Rewards Program to which Points are transferred (“Recipient Account”); and
      2. have both the Sending Account and the Recipient Account registered to the same Samsung Account.
    3. While the terms applicable to the Transfer function should be consistent, in case of any conflict, the terms applicable to the Recipient Account shall prevail. For the avoidance of doubt, the same Exchange Rate is used for Transfers in both directions for each pair of Rewards Programs.
    4. Points subject to Transfer will retain their expiration date as indicated on the Sending Account.
    5. Participants may only transfer Loyalty Points between their own Rewards Accounts. Points cannot be sent to or received from another person or Samsung Account.
    6. Participants can request Transfers on the www.samsung.com/sk homepage, My Page, and the Rewards Program for any Rewards Program for which the Transfer function is available and in which they have a Loyalty Account. Participants can also view their Samsung Rewards history, including details of previous Transfers, on these pages.
  2. Conversion Methodology
    1. Samsung Rewards Points have different values for each Rewards Program. This reflects the different rates of earning and redeeming Points offered in each country's Rewards Program. Before any Transfer, the Point balance and the number of Points selected for transfer from the Sending Account must first be converted to the equivalent Point value for the Recipient Account.
    2. The Point value exchange rate (Exchange Rate) for a proposed Transfer will be displayed on the screen along with the number of Points to be transferred and the starting and ending balances for both the Sending Account and the Recipient Account. Participants can check the Exchange Rate and the number of Points to be credited to the Recipient Account before confirming the transfer.
    3. Samsung will determine the Exchange Rate at its sole discretion based on the average internal exchange rate used in the previous month for each pair of relevant programs. Samsung reserves the right to update Exchange Rates more frequently or to adjust the methodology according to changing circumstances.
    4. If the calculation of the Point value in the Recipient Account results in a fraction of a Point, the Transfer value will be rounded to the nearest whole Point.
    5. Transferred Points will be displayed in the Recipient Account immediately. Participants should contact customer service if a Transfer is unsuccessful or if they believe there has been a calculation error.
  3. Miscellaneous
    1. Loyalty Points subject to Transfer will retain their expiration date as indicated on the Sending Account.
    2. A request to transfer Loyalty Points cannot be canceled or withdrawn. However, Points can be re-transferred by requesting a reverse Transfer, subject to the limitations on excessive or fraudulent Transfers set forth in section G.4 below.
    3. Participants are responsible for managing any personal tax liabilities, fees, or similar obligations arising from the transfer of Points.
    4. Samsung does not offer a currency exchange service. The Samsung Rewards Transfer function is offered to Participants as a convenience and allows them to combine and spend Points earned from multiple Samsung Electronics companies. For the avoidance of doubt, the Point Exchange Rate does not represent or reflect current market exchange rates.
    5. The fact that a Participant has registered for the Samsung Rewards Program in multiple countries or has transferred Points does not affect the terms and conditions applicable to their remaining Loyalty Points, nor the contractual terms, including jurisdiction, that apply to all completed purchases from www.samsung.com/sk.
  4. Transfer Restrictions
    1. Certain Points may not be eligible for Transfer. For example, Points awarded as part of a promotional campaign or a country-specific reward opportunity may be non-transferable. All such restrictions will be indicated on your Samsung Rewards Account page.
    2. Point Transfers are currently only available within the Rewards Programs in the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Korea, the United States of America, and other selected countries. For a complete list of countries, please visit our Rewards Program FAQ page.
    3. Samsung may restrict the Transfer of Points between specific Samsung Rewards Programs due to any legal requirements, in which case Samsung will notify you of the exclusions on the Samsung Rewards Program homepage.
    4. Participants may be prevented from requesting Transfers if Samsung has reasonable grounds to suspect that a Transfer request or any previously completed Transfers are or have been fraudulent, or are intended to manipulate Exchange Rates to artificially inflate the total Point balance and gain an exchange profit, instead of redeeming Points through the Recipient Account. Samsung may prevent a Participant from making multiple International Samsung Rewards Transfers in a short period, including repeated small Transfers and reverse Transfers without redemption, as this may jeopardize the system or incur significant costs for Samsung.
