2 Safety Instructions
Intended Use
This device is intended for generating artificial fog by evaporating fog fluid, combined with an electronic lighting effect via LED technology. It is designed for professional use and is not suitable for households. Use the device only as described in this user manual. Any other use is considered improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.
The device may only be used by persons with sufficient physical, sensory, and intellectual abilities and corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons may use this device only if supervised or instructed by a person responsible for their safety.
ℹ️ Extend the life of the device by taking regular breaks during operation and avoid switching it on and off frequently. This device is not suitable for continuous use.
Safety Precautions
General information about how to safely operate fog machines and hazers
The device was designed for professional event technology and works reliably when used properly. Observe the following:
- Follow all warnings in these operating instructions.
- Never leave the device running unsupervised.
- The device is not suitable for private households or as a child's toy.
- Place the device on a stable, fire-proof base at least twice the size of the device.
- Maintain a safety distance of 1 m to flammable materials.
- The device is not intended for suspended assembly ("flying operation").
- During operation, ensure visibility in the room does not fall below 2 m for safe orientation.
- The fog or haze generated may trigger smoke alarms.
3 Features
This vertical fog machine with an LED effect ring is suitable for use in clubs, bars, night clubs, and on stages. The built-in LEDs are mounted around the fog outlet and illuminate the fog column in bold colours.
Special features of the device:
- Vertical fog column of approx. 3 m height.
- Coloured fog effects by built-in RGB LEDs.
- Manual control via wired remote control with direct control of 8 colour combinations.
- Flash button on the device for switchable strobe effect.
- Suitable fog fluids: Fast fog for CO2 effect (item no. 209054), E-M fluid (item no. 121307), E fluid (item no. 105454).
❗ Unsuitable fluids can damage the device. Only use the device with original Stairville fluids.
For technological reasons, the light output of LEDs decreases over their lifetime, especially with higher operating temperatures. Extend the service life of the illuminants by providing adequate ventilation and operating the LEDs at the lowest possible brightness.
4 Installation
Unpack and check carefully for any transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the product against vibration, dust, and moisture during transportation or storage, use the original packaging or suitable alternative packaging material.
The device is designed for horizontal or vertical installation on the floor or even surfaces. Place the unit on a flat, stable, non-combustible surface. The device requires 50 cm clearance at the sides and above.
5 Connections and Controls
Rear Panel
The rear panel of the device features the following connections and controls:
- 1 [POWER]: Rubber panel plug for power supply with fuse holder.
- 2: Carrying handle.
- 3 [ON | OFF]: Main switch to turn the device on and off.
- 4 [STROBE]: Button to turn the strobe effect on and off.
- 5 [HEATING]/[READY]: Indicator LEDs for heating up process and operating status.
- 6: Fog fluid container with screw-cap.
- 7: LED effect ring and fog nozzle for fog output.
- 8: Fill level indicator.
- 9 [REMOTE CONTROL]: Connection for the wired remote control.
Wired Remote Control
The wired remote control allows for operation and colour selection:
- 10 [READY]/[ON] Indicator LEDs: [READY] lights up when the device is fully heated and ready for use. [ON] lights up when the trigger button on the remote is activated.
- 11 [1] ... [8]: Buttons to activate a colour combination and simultaneously trigger a fog blast.
- [1] | Red
- [2] | Green
- [3] | Blue
- [4] | Yellow
- [5] | Purple
- [6] | Cobalt blue
- [7] | White
- [8] | Colours 1–7, automatic colour sequence.
6 Operating
Filling the Device
First, ensure the device is disconnected from the mains. Open the screw cap of the fluid container and fill it with fog fluid. Make sure no fog fluid is spilled or gets into the device. Using a funnel is recommended. The container capacity is 800 ml. Screw the cap firmly back on.
Switching on the Device
Connect the device to the mains power grid and turn it on with the main switch. During the heat-up time (approx. 3 minutes), the [HEATING] indicator LED lights up. The device is ready for use when the [HEATING] indicator LED goes out and the [READY] indicator LED lights up.
Operation
Operation with an empty fluid container can lead to overheating and permanent damage to the pump. When operating, always ensure there is sufficient fog fluid in the container to avoid no-load running.
Triggering Fog Blast and LED Effect
Connect the remote control to the [REMOTE CONTROL] connection socket on the control panel. Press the button for the desired colour of the LED effect ring to trigger a fog blast with that colour. The output duration is approx. 6 seconds. To stop fog output earlier, press any button on the remote control.
Adding the Strobe Effect
Press the [STROBE] button on the back of the device to switch on the strobe effect on the LED effect ring. To deactivate the strobe effect, press [STROBE] again.
Decommissioning the Device
Switch off the device using the main switch. Do not transport the device before it has cooled down completely. To avoid leaking fog fluid during transport, transport the device only with an empty fluid container.

Clean the appliance after every 30 operating hours, or if it was not in use for a longer period.
Procedure
- Make sure that the device is turned off, disconnected from the mains, and completely cooled down.
- Position the unit in a well-ventilated place.
- Insert the suction hose of the fog machine into the bottle with the fog machine cleaner.
- Connect the device to the mains power grid and turn it on with the main switch.
- Wait until the unit has reached the required operating temperature.
- Switch to continuous operation and let the device produce fog for about 20 seconds.
- Insert the suction hose of the fog machine back into the fog fluid container and let the device again produce fog for about 20 seconds. This will rinse the lines.
➡️ The cleaning is completed.
Fan Grids
The fan grids must be cleaned of contamination, such as dust, on a regular basis. Before cleaning, switch off the device and disconnect it from the mains. Only use pH-neutral, solvent-free, and non-abrasive cleaning agents. Clean the unit with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
