D-Link Technical Support Setup Procedure
How to perform manual firmware update on DWR-X2000
- Visit the D-Link support page at https://www.dlink.com/en/change-region, select your country, find your device model, and download the latest firmware.
- Connect your PC to the DWR-X2000 either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable.
Note: To avoid disruption during the firmware upgrade, it is advised that you use a wired connection. - Once connected, open a web browser and type the URL: https://192.168.0.1
- To access the router's settings, enter the username and password. If you've previously changed the password, use the updated one. Otherwise, use the default username "admin" and the default password located on the label at the back of the router.

.bin
or the.zip
file downloaded in step 1. - Highlight the file by clicking it once, then click Open. Then, click "Update" to initiate the firmware update process.
- The router will start upgrading its firmware. Do not turn off or disconnect the router during the upgrade process, as this could cause issues. The upgrade may take several minutes. Once completed, the router will reboot automatically.
If you forget your router's configuration password, perform a factory reset to restore default settings. Note: This will erase all current settings, and you'll need to reconfigure the router.
