Install Instructions
-
Test controller before mounting:
A wiring diagram shows how to test the controller before mounting. It illustrates connecting the black negative wire and red positive wire from a 12V battery to the controller's ring terminals. The controller then connects to an ON/OFF switch. When the switch is turned ON, a blue LED on the switch should illuminate, indicating the controller is powered. If the controller does not power on, contact XKGLOW for troubleshooting.
-
Connect the lights:
The diagram shows the controller's output port connecting to an optional XK-4P-SPLIT accessory, which allows for the connection of multiple LED accessories to the single controller output.
-
Connect sensor wire to 12V:
This illustration shows the RED sensor wire from the controller being connected to a 12V source, such as the positive wire of a vehicle's brake light. This connection enables user-defined functions controlled via the XKchrome App, for example, changing LED color upon braking.
-
Secure all wires and connectors:
Visuals demonstrate securing wires and connectors using zip ties and wire clips for a tidy installation. Double-sided tape is shown for holding male and female plugs together. Make sure wires are not touching anything hot or located on moving parts. Locate the ON/OFF switch in a convenient location.
-
Connect to 12V DC power:
The diagram shows the controller's power harness wires being firmly connected to the positive and negative poles of a 12V DC battery. Plug the controller into the power wire harness. Power on, download the XKchrome App, and enjoy!
Note: There are multiple XKGLOW apps on the App Store. Only the XKchrome App will work with the XKchrome Bluetooth Controller. The App icon is pictured here.
