HYXIPOWER Microinverter Quick Installation Guide
This guide provides quick installation instructions for HYXIPOWER Microinverters, including models HYX-M1600-S, HYX-M1800-S, HYX-M2000-S, HYX-M1600-SW, HYX-M1800-SW, and HYX-M2000-SW.
1 Installation Accessories
The following accessories are required for installation. Note that these are not included with the product and must be purchased separately.
- T-junction cable
- M8*25 bolt (user-provided)
- T-junction bus connector
- T-junction bus end cap
- T-junction removal tool
- T-junction protective cover
2 Installation Steps
2.1 How to make a T-junction bus
Step 1: Prepare T-junction connection cables based on the number of microinverters.
Step 2: Strip the T-junction connection cable.
Step 3: Connect the AC cable to the T-junction connector. Tighten screws and nuts to specified torque values (0.8±0.1 N·m for screws, 2.5±0.5 N·m for nuts). Avoid overtightening and damaging the seal.
Step 4: Secure the T-junction cable by inserting the AC cable into the T-junction connector and reattaching the lower cover. Secure the cable to the guide rail with a cable tie.
Important Notes:
- Use the T-junction removal tool to remove the lower cover.
- Loosen the inner screw, unscrew the nut, and remove the cable.
- Do not expose T-junction bus connectors to direct water.
- Use a professional tool to uninstall the T-junction bus connector.
2.2 Microinverter Installation
Step 1: Mark the microinverter installation position on the mounting rack according to the PV module layout.
Step 2: Secure the microinverter to the rack using the M8*25 mm bolt. Ensure the inverter's indicator panel faces the rack.
Install a T-junction bus end cap on the end of the T-junction. Reattach the lower cover of the T-junction and ensure it is securely fastened.
2.3 Connect the microinverter with the T-junction
Insert the microinverter's AC output connector into the T-junction bus connector until it clicks. Ensure a secure connection.
Important Notes:
- Install the microinverter and all DC connections under the PV module to protect them from sunlight, rain, and snow.
- Maintain a 20mm gap between the microinverter and the PV module for ventilation and heat dissipation.
- Tighten screws to 9 N.m. Avoid overtightening.
- Do not transport cables during transport.
2.4 Connect the PV module
Step 1: Install the PV module above the microinverter.
Step 2: Connect the DC output cable of the PV module to the input side of the microinverter.
Important Notes:
- The maximum voltage of the PV module must not exceed the maximum input voltage of the microinverter.
- The DC output power of the PV module must not exceed 1.5 times the AC output power of the microinverter.
- Ensure the current and voltage of the PV modules are compatible with the inverter.
- The continuous operating voltage range of the PV module must be within the microinverter's input voltage range.
2.5 Draw the installation plan
Detach the microinverter serial number label and affix it to the corresponding location on the installation plan for quick identification during maintenance.
3 System Startup and Commissioning
Step 1: Close the main grid circuit breaker.
Step 2: Close the AC circuit breaker for each microinverter branch. The system will automatically generate power after approximately 2 minutes.
Step 3: Configure the monitoring system on the HYXIPOWER Smart Energy platform.
3.1 Startup Indicator
When the DC side of the microinverter is powered on for the first time:
- Green lights flash briefly to indicate successful startup.
- Red lights flash briefly to indicate startup failure.
3.2 Operation Indicator
Light | Status | Description |
---|---|---|
Green | Fast blink (1s interval) | Normal |
Green | Slow blink (3s interval) | Communication error |
Green | Slow blink (5s interval) | PV input error |
Green | Solid on | Ground fault |
Red | Fast blink (1s interval) | Error |
Red | Fast blink (2s interval) | AC error |
