SALTO BLUEnet Door Controller Installation Guide
Product Overview
The SALTO BLUEnet Door Controller (CUC1B0 series) is a wireless door controller for single-door access control with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This guide details the installation process, including wiring, configuration, and operational testing.
Installation Steps
The installation involves connecting the controller to an electrical cabinet with a DIN rail and potentially a tamper switch.
Electrical Cabinet Connections
- Electrical Cabinet with DIN Rail: The controller is designed to be mounted in an electrical cabinet with a DIN rail.
- Electrical Cabinet with DIN Rail and Tamper: For enhanced security, a tamper switch can be connected. In the software, this connection should be configured as "Tamper input".
Wiring and Connections
The controller features input/output terminals for power and communication with expansion boards. It also includes relay outputs.
- Input/Output: Power input (10-30V DC, 700mA max) and a proprietary serial bus for communication.
- Relay Outputs: Rated for 1A/30VDC.
- Reader Connection: Refer to the wall reader installation guide for specific wiring, connections, and maximum distances.
- Inputs: Used for external configuration, including a "Tamper" input.
- CLEAR Button: Used for pairing with wall readers and discovering devices on the serial bus. A long press can accept a new Portable Programmer (PPD) on the SALTO Space platform.
Configuration
The controller supports various configurations for inputs and relays, including:
- Factory Configuration: Default settings for door status (Unsupervised NC), exit (Unsupervised NO), door relay, and tamper alarms/loss of communication.
- CUAPAC or Third-Party Readers: The controller is compatible with Wiegand readers.
Technical Specifications

Signalling and Operational Test
The controller uses LED indicators to show its status:
- Solid Green: All internal communications established and working correctly.
- Solid Red: Indicates potential communication problems or that the device was not powered correctly.
- Blinking Yellow: Device is not paired with the CUC180.
- Blinking Red: Indicates communication problems.
- Off: No power.
Operational Test: After installation, verify that the LED turns solid green when the device is powered on to confirm correct installation.
