  • 10. Cleaning Brush: Used for cleaning the grinding mechanism.
  • 11. Filter Holder Support/Bracket: Holds the filter holder during grinding.

Assembly

Before first use, unpack the appliance carefully and remove all packaging material and promotional stickers. Clean all components, except for the motor base (1) and grinding mechanism (9), with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse and dry thoroughly before use.

Assembly Steps (referencing diagrams B, C, D):

  • Place the coffee bean container (2) onto the motor base (1) by aligning the reference marks on the left side of the motor base. Turn the container clockwise until the marks align.
  • Place the lid (3) onto the bean container (2) and press down.
  • Attach the container support tray (5) to the motor base (1) until it clicks into place.
  • Insert the filter holder support bracket (11) into its corresponding slot (11a).
  • Open the silicone seal of the ground coffee container (4). If placing it on the tray (5), remove the filter holder support (11).
  • Ensure the rubber dispensing cone is centered over the opening of the ground coffee container lid (4), as shown in Diagram D.

Important Note: The grinding mechanism (9) must never be rinsed and must always be kept dry. Clean it with the provided cleaning brush (10) or a stiff-bristled brush.

Controls and Operation

Grind Setting Adjustment (8): The lever (8) allows you to set the desired grind fineness (e.g., Very Fine, Fine, Medium). Move the lever to align the indicator (12) with the desired setting.

Grind Quantity Selector (7): The dial (7) offers 2 preset quantities (single espresso, double espresso) and a manual function (M). Each function corresponds to a predetermined amount of ground coffee.

  • 1: Grind quantity for a single espresso.
  • 2: Grind quantity for a double espresso.
  • M: Manual function, allowing custom grinding time.

The manual function (M) can be used with any grind setting.

Grinding Coffee (referencing diagrams A, E, F, G, H):

  • Ensure the upper grinding burr (9a) is properly seated and secured in its housing.
  • Plug the appliance into the socket.
  • Lift the lid of the bean container (3) and add coffee beans to the container (2).
  • If the LED on the dial flashes, it indicates an error: the bean container is missing or not properly inserted.
  • Place the ground coffee container (4) on the tray (5), opening its silicone seal.
  • Select the desired grind setting using the lever (8) and indicator (12).
  • Select the desired coffee quantity by turning the dial (7) to align the red indicator with the desired program (1, 2, or M).
  • Press the START/STOP button (6) to begin grinding. Preset programs will stop automatically, except for the manual function (M).
  • After grinding, remove the ground coffee container (4) from the appliance.
  • To remove ground coffee from container (4), open and remove its lid by turning it counter-clockwise.
  • When grinding, ensure the coffee grounds are below the maximum fill line of the container.
  • When using the manual function (M), stay near the grinder. Press START/STOP again to stop grinding, and ensure you stop before the coffee grounds exceed the container's fill line.
  • Ground coffee loses its aroma quickly. For best results, use the coffee immediately after grinding. Store ground coffee in a dark, cool, and dry place.
  • Grinding for Espresso Filter Holder (referencing diagram D):
  • Insert the filter holder support bracket (11) into its slot (11a).
  • Place any suitable filter holder under the dispensing cone.
  • Set the grind level.
  • Select program "1" or "2" as needed.
  • Press START/STOP (6) to begin. Preset programs stop automatically.
  • After grinding, remove the filter holder. The filter holder is not included.
  • If the manual grinding duration exceeds the safety limit of 90 seconds, the motor will stop automatically.
  • During grinding, do not change the program on the dial (7) or adjust the grind setting lever (8).
  • If you desire a finer grind than currently set, it is recommended to remove and clean the grinding mechanism of any remaining beans before starting a new grind. Refer to the Cleaning and Maintenance section for removal instructions.
  • A bean lock feature allows safe removal of the container (2) from the motor base (1) without coffee beans spilling.
  • The coffee grinder has a standby function that activates after 90 seconds of inactivity. Press START/STOP to reactivate the appliance.

Cleaning and Maintenance

General Cleaning:

  • Ensure the coffee bean container (2) is empty. Press the manual function (M) to remove any residual beans from the grinding mechanism.
  • ALWAYS unplug the appliance before cleaning.
