Samsung Refrigerator Limited Warranty (U.S.A.)
This limited warranty is provided by Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SAMSUNG) to the original consumer purchaser with proof of purchase for new SAMSUNG brand refrigerators purchased and used in the United States.
Warranty Coverage Periods:
- One (1) year parts and labor
- Five (5) years parts and labor on Sealed Refrigeration System Only (Compressor, Evaporator, Condenser, Drier, and Connecting Tubing)
- Ten (10) years part and Five (5) years labor on Digital Inverter Compressor Only
This warranty is valid only for products installed, operated, and maintained according to provided instructions. To receive service, contact SAMSUNG for problem determination and service procedures. Service must be performed by a SAMSUNG authorized service center. Proof of purchase (original dated bill of sale and/or proof of delivery) is required.
SAMSUNG will provide in-home service within the contiguous United States during the warranty period at no charge, subject to availability of authorized servicers. If in-home service is not available, SAMSUNG may arrange transportation to an authorized service center. Customers in areas without available service may be responsible for trip charges or transporting the product themselves.
Products must be unobstructed and accessible for in-home service.
SAMSUNG may repair, replace, or refund the purchase price at its sole option. Replacement parts and products are warranted for the remaining portion of the original warranty or ninety (90) days, whichever is longer. Replaced parts and products become SAMSUNG property.
Exclusions from Warranty:
- Damage occurring during shipment, delivery, or installation.
- Uses for which the product was not intended.
- Damage caused by unauthorized modification or alteration.
- Products with removed, defaced, or altered serial numbers.
- Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, chips, etc.).
- Damage caused by abuse, misuse, pest infestations, accidents, fire, floods, or other acts of nature.
- Damage from non-SAMSUNG supplied or authorized equipment, utilities, parts, supplies, accessories, applications, or repairs.
- Damage caused by incorrect electrical line current, voltage, fluctuations, or surges.
- Damage caused by failure to operate and maintain the product according to instructions.
- In-home instruction on product use.
- Service to correct installation not in accordance with electrical or plumbing codes, or correction of household electrical or plumbing issues (e.g., house wiring, fuses, water inlet hoses).
Costs for repairs or replacements under excluded circumstances are the customer's responsibility. Visits by authorized servicers to explain product functions, maintenance, or installation are not covered.
Exclusion of Implied Warranties & Limitation of Remedies:
Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited to one year or the shortest period allowed by law. Some states may not allow these limitations.
The sole and exclusive remedy is product repair, replacement, or refund at SAMSUNG's option. SAMSUNG is not liable for special, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., lost time, meals, remodeling expenses, loss of revenue/profits) regardless of the legal theory. Some states may not allow these limitations.
SAMSUNG does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. No other warranty or guarantee is binding on SAMSUNG.

Samsung Refrigerator Limited Warranty Information (CANADA)
This warranty is provided by Samsung Electronics Canada Inc. (SECA) for Samsung products purchased and used in Canada.
Warranty Coverage Periods:
- Labor: 1 year (in-home)
- Parts: 1 year
- Inverter Compressor: 10 years (Part only)
SECA will repair or replace the product if it fails to operate properly due to defective workmanship or material within the specified period. In-home service availability may vary by area. Contact SECA for details.
All warranty repairs and part replacements must be performed by a SECA Authorized Service Center. Transportation to and from the Authorized Service Center is the customer's responsibility for carry-in models.
Obligation to the Original Owner:
The original dated sales receipt is the only acceptable proof of purchase and must be presented at the time of service request.
Exclusions from Warranty:
- Damage due to accident, fire, flood, or other Acts of God.
- Misuse, incorrect line voltage, improper installation.
- Improper or unauthorized repairs.
- Commercial use.
- Damage occurring during shipping.
- Customer adjustments explained in the owner's manual.
- Units with missing or altered serial numbers.
This warranty is valid only for products purchased and used in Canada.
