Kaboodle 600mm Microwave Box

Assembly and Care Instructions

Step 1: Build and Attach Your Cabinet

Things You Need to Know

  • All cabinets require attachment to the wall using a minimum of 8 gauge 65mm screws for stud walls. For concrete or brick walls, consult your hardware specialist for the appropriate fixing method.
  • Ensure plumbing and electrical work is handled by qualified trades people.
  • Use exterior woodworking glue for added strength during cabinet assembly.
  • Identify panels by ensuring counter-sunk holes face outwards.
  • All holes not pre-drilled should be drilled prior to screwing using a No. 12 countersinking drill kit.
  • Always use safety gear, such as a mask ?, ear muffs ?, and glasses ?, when operating tools.

Assembly Instructions

Assembling Cabinets

  1. Step 1: Join the "bottom panel" to the "back panel" using screw "A".
  2. Step 2: Attach the two "side panels" to the "back panel" using screw "A".
  3. Step 3: Secure the "top panel" to the assembled side and back panels using screw "A".

Creating an Underbench Microwave Box

Combine the 600mm microwave box with a 600mm 1 drawer cabinet to form a 600mm underbench microwave cabinet.

Pre-drill and attach using 28mm screws ("B").

Note: Position the microwave box 18mm in front of the drawer cabinet for melamine doors, and 20mm for thermoformed doors.

Caring for Your Kaboodle Cabinets

Looking after your Kaboodle cabinets is simple and will ensure they last for many years. Follow these steps for proper care and maintenance.

Clean cabinets using an all-purpose, non-abrasive cleaner with a damp sponge or cloth. Avoid saturated cloths, harsh chemicals, or thinner-based cleaners, as these can damage the melamine surface. Do not use abrasive products like steel wool or wire brushes, and avoid sharp objects that could scratch, cut, or gouge the melamine. Exposure of the internal board may cause swelling. Kaboodle cabinets are water-resistant, not waterproof; attend to spills immediately.

Handy Hint

If the melamine surface of your cabinet is damaged, you can attempt to cover it with a furniture repair crayon. However, note that this will not restore the original finish or seal the board.
