FAQ
Q1. Which devices can work normally with the extender?
Only PSE and PD devices compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at can function well with the extender. Do not use the extender with other devices solely to extend data transmission distance.
Q2. Why is the Link/Act LED not lit?
A1: Ensure your network cable is in good condition and that both the PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) and PD (Powered Device) are properly connected to the correct ports.
A2: The POE20E-Outdoor features an adaptive data rate design. Link stability may be affected by cable length, cable quality, and connected device characteristics. Under certain conditions (e.g., using 160-170m Cat5e cables), intermittent connectivity may occur. To resolve this:
- Manually configure the connected device to operate at 10 Mbps full-duplex or enable Extend Mode on the PSE.
- Adjust the cable length to avoid the affected range.
