Wireless Performance Notes

Like all wireless devices, the MagniFi One Soundbar may be susceptible to RF interference from sources like microwave ovens, WiFi, video game systems, cordless phones, Bluetooth systems, and baby monitors. Devices operating in the 2.4GHz band may cause intermittent wireless connections between the sound bar and subwoofer. Your system may also affect other wireless systems.

To avoid performance issues, physically separate these devices from your sound bar system. Maintaining a distance of several feet should prevent mutual interference. If you experience subwoofer signal dropouts, identify the cause (often proximity to other wireless devices) and resolve it.

Interference from microwave ovens will cease when the oven stops operating. Long-term resolution may involve increasing the physical distance.

Warning: Listen Carefully

Polk Audio loudspeakers and subwoofers can produce extremely high volume levels, which can cause serious or permanent hearing damage. Polk Audio, LLC is not liable for hearing loss, bodily injury, or property damage resulting from misuse of its products. Keep these guidelines in mind and use good judgment when controlling volume:

Troubleshooting

The bar does not power on.

  • Ensure the power supply is plugged into a live wall outlet.
  • Ensure all power supply components are connected properly.
  • Ensure the power supply is properly connected to the bar power input.

No sound from the bar.

  • Check if the TV or cable box is providing a signal.
  • If necessary, test with an alternate audio source.
  • Ensure the bar is powered and turned on.
  • Turn up the bar's volume.
  • Check input cables for secure connection.
  • Turn up the TV or cable box volume.
  • Check mute status: If the status light is slowly blinking green, press the Mute button on the bar.

The sound coming from the bar is distorted.

  • If possible, lower the volume of your audio source.
  • Check for audio processing upstream of the bar (refer to the online manual) and disable it if active.

The included remote control won't work.

  • Ensure the battery's protective plastic tab has been removed.
  • Replace the battery (CR2032).

The bar won't learn remote control commands.

  • Follow programming instructions in the online manual carefully.
  • Hold the remote steady, 1-2 feet from the front of the bar.
  • Quickly "tap" the button on your existing remote until the status LED blinks green.
  • Note: The bar can learn most IR commands, but some protocols cannot be programmed.

TV speaker volume becomes louder than the MagniFi One Soundbar system over time.

  • Turn off your TV speakers per the online manual instructions.
  • When holding the remote's volume button, the TV volume may change faster than the bar. Use the bar's buttons to adjust the bar's volume for balance with TV speakers.
