Introduction and Application
The Laserliner VideoScope XXL is an inspection camera designed to provide visual inspection of hard-to-reach areas such as cavities, shafts, masonry, or vehicle interiors. It features a micro-camera that transmits color video images to an LCD display.

Optical Emission Safety (LED)
The device uses LEDs classified under Risk Group RG 0 (exempt, no risk) according to photobiological safety standards (EN 62471, IEC/TR 62471). Under intended use and foreseeable conditions, the LED radiation is safe for the human eye and skin.

Device Overview and Controls
The VideoScope XXL consists of a handheld unit with an LCD display, ON/OFF button, hot keys, Micro-SD card slot, Mini-USB interface, and video output. It also features an operation indicator, battery compartment, a flexible cable with a camera head (9 mm diameter, water-resistant, IP 68) at the end, and an LED light on the camera head.
Key Controls:
- OK/Trigger/Record/Confirm: Captures photos, starts/stops video, confirms selections.
- ESC/Cancel: Cancels operations or exits modes.
- Menu Control / Zoom / LED Lighting: Buttons for navigating menus, adjusting zoom (1x to 5x, 110% to 150%), and controlling LED brightness (10% to 100%).
- Rotation 180°: Rotates the image on the display.
- Media Gallery Access: Opens the gallery to view saved images and videos.
- Settings Mode Access: Enters the device settings menu.
Operation Modes
Record Mode (Image/Video)
To record, align the camera head with the desired position. Use the LED lighting for poor light conditions and zoom in on small or distant objects. The image can be rotated 180° using the rotation button. Briefly press the OK button to capture a still image or start a video recording. Press it again to stop recording. Recordings are saved to the SD card.
The display shows recording status, SD card activity, battery level, zoom, LED status, date, and time.
Playback Mode
Access the Media Gallery by pressing the designated button. Select an image or video with the navigation buttons and press OK to view it full screen. Navigate between files using the arrow keys. Press the gallery access button again to exit playback mode.
Settings Mode
Enter Settings mode via the designated button. Options include:
- Advanced Settings: Set Date and Time, Language (DE, EN, NL, FR, ES), and TV Output (NTSC/PAL).
- Colour or Black/White: Select the display color mode.
- Format Data Medium: Format the SD card. ⚠️ Warning: This deletes all data and cannot be undone.
- Help: Access help information.
- Firmware Version: View the current firmware version (e.g., V2.00).
Data Transfer and Maintenance
USB Data Transfer
Transfer saved data from the SD card to a PC using a compatible card reader or the USB port. Refer to your card reader's manual for connection details.
Maintenance
Clean the device with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid cleaning agents, scouring agents, and solvents. Remove batteries for long-term storage. Store the device in a clean, dry location.
Focus and Image Quality
The VideoScope XXL provides sharp images within a range of 1 to 6 cm from the camera head. Objects outside this range may appear blurred.
