Operating Your Heater
WARNINGS:
- To avoid overheating or fire, DO NOT COVER the heater.
- Keep all objects at least 1 metre from the front and sides of the appliance.
- Do not use this heater with a programmer, separate timer, remote-control system, or any other device that switches the heater on automatically, as a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
- Never leave this heater unattended when in use.
Ensure the heater is mounted on a flat, stable, heat-resistant wall. With the heater in a safe operating position and all switches off, insert the power plug into the mains outlet and switch on.
CAUTION:
Ensure the power cord is not tight. A partially inserted plug can overheat the plug and socket, potentially causing fire.
Note: On first use, the appliance may release a slight odour or smoke due to initial heating of internal elements. This is normal and should not recur.
Basic Operation:
- Turn on the power switch on the side of the heater. The LED display shows the current ambient room temperature; the heater is in standby.
- The small black button under the switch turns the heater ON/OFF. Holding it for 5 seconds activates WiFi pairing mode.
- All other functions are operated by the remote control. Aim the remote directly at the sensor on the LED display for best results.
ON/OFF:
- Press the Power Button [power-symbol] to turn the heater on. The unit will blow air at room temperature.
- Press the Power Button [power-symbol] to turn the heater off.
Note: After turning the unit OFF, the fan continues to blow room temperature air for 30 seconds (cool-down period) before standby. DO NOT TURN OFF AT THE WALL SWITCH DURING THIS TIME. The LED display will show the ambient temperature. Pressing any button on the remote will reactivate the display.
HEAT MODES:
- Press the Heat Button [heat-button] once for Low Heat Mode.
- Press the Heat Button [heat-button] again for High Heat Mode.
- Press the Heat Button [heat-button] again for Fan Mode. In Low and High Heat settings, the fan speed is constant; only the element temperature changes for heat output.
SETTING TEMPERATURE:
- To set the temperature, press the + or - buttons [plus-minus-buttons]. The display shows the temperature increase/decrease. The setting range is 18-45℃.
- After selection, the display returns to showing the current room temperature, but your set temperature is retained.
- LOW heat mode activates when the set temperature is 1-2℃ higher than the ambient room temperature.
- HIGH heat mode activates when the set temperature is 3℃ higher than the ambient room temperature.
- To cancel temperature setting, press the [cancel-button] button. The heater reverts to the last set Heat Mode.
Note: Starting the heater via the small black button results in HIGH heat mode. Temperature can still be set. Using the cancellation button reverts to HIGH heat mode.
TIMER FUNCTION:
- The Timer allows continuous operation for 1-8 hours before automatic shut-off. It can be used in any mode.
- Press the TIMER Button [timer-button] once to set 1 hour.
- Press repeatedly to adjust in 1-hour increments.
- The Timer indicator illuminates when a timer is set.
- To stop the timer, press the TIMER button repeatedly until it shows zero.
OPEN WINDOW DETECTION:
- The heater stops working if a window or door is left open.
- Pressing the Open Window button [window-detection-button] allows the heater to sense if the ambient room temperature drops by 8℃ or more.
- If detected, an alarm sounds for 5 seconds, heating stops, and the fan runs for 30 seconds before standby.
- Press the Open Window button [window-detection-button] to restart in the previous mode, or press the Power button on the remote to turn off.
