Display Overview
The POWERTRAK DISPLAY provides a comprehensive view of your battery system's status. Key information displayed includes:
- Battery Image Indicator: A visual gauge showing the battery's charge level.
- Battery Percentage Remaining: The current state of charge, e.g., 75%.
- Battery Temperature: The measured temperature of the battery, e.g., 75.2°F.
- Battery Voltage: The current voltage of the battery bank, e.g., 12.6V.
- Input/Output Power: Real-time power flow into or out of the battery, e.g., -0.5A, 6.3W.
- Time Until Empty Remaining: An estimate of how long the battery will last at the current usage rate, e.g., 2d 12h.
- Ah Remaining: The remaining capacity in Amp-hours, e.g., 100 Ah.
- Settings Icon (⚙️): Accesses the system's configuration menus.
- Connectivity Icon (?): Indicates the status of the wireless connection.
The display also shows the current time (e.g., 3:38 PM). A QR code is available on the device to scan for the full manual.
Installation and Wiring Overview
For optimal performance, the GP-BMG shunt should be mounted as close to the battery as possible. The remote display is designed for wall mounting.
Recommended Tools
- Wrench
- Drill
- 2" hole saw
- 2 ring terminals of appropriate size for battery cable
- Crimp tool for ring terminals
Wiring Diagrams
The system wiring connects Loads & Sources to the battery bank, typically through a relay for control. The GP-Shunt monitors current and voltage, and communicates with the GP-Display. The diagram shows:
- Loads & Sources connected to the system.
- A Relay for power control.
- The GP-Shunt positioned between the Battery Bank (+) terminal and the Loads & Sources/Relay.
- The GP-Display connected to the GP-Shunt.
Setup
Follow these steps to configure your POWERTRAK DISPLAY:
- Tap the SETTINGS icon (⚙️) on the touchscreen display.
- Set the battery type and system voltage according to your battery bank's specifications.
- Set the system size, such as the battery capacity in Amp-hours (Ah).
- Enable an external relay if your system configuration requires one.
Note: The screen will enter "sleep" mode after 5 seconds of inactivity. To wake the screen, simply press anywhere on it. The auto-dim feature can be adjusted in the Screen - Brightness settings.
