Allow the auger bit to bite into the material, letting the machine do the work. g. As the auger bit begins to fill with debris, it is important to constantly clear it to produce a clean cut and reduce the amount of effort required while the auger is operating at full speed, slowly lift it from the hole and allow the debris to clear from the auger bit. h. After using this machine, release the trigger switch and allow the auger to come to a complete stop. i. When leaving the machine, such as during a break, do not leave the machine inserted in the soil or lean it against a wall. TIPS FOR USING THE EARTH AUGER Pressing excessively on the machine will not speed up the digging. Excessive pressure will only serve to damage the tip of the auger bit, decrease the machine performance, and shorten the service life of the machine. When drilling a deep hole or drilling in clay soil, do not try to dig at once. Dig the hole by lifting the machine up and down so that the loose soil in the hole can be discharged. If the rotation speed of the machine slows down due to high load operation, lift the machine up little, and move the machine up and down to drill in small steps. A stuck auger bit can be removed simply by setting the auger into reverse rotation in order to back out. When reversing, brace the machine by your body to prevent a clockwise reaction. MAINTENANCE WARNING: To prevent serious personal injury, remove the battery pack from the product before servicing, cleaning, changing attachments, or removing material from the unit.
