About Your Trifo Lucy
Lucy is a sophisticated cleaning robot engineered with advanced technology for navigation, mapping, and obstacle avoidance. It features a 1080P HD camera for live video surveillance and a powerful vacuum for cleaning.
This guide provides instructions for setup, operation, cleaning, and maintenance. A separate 'Safety Instructions & Warranty' booklet contains important safety information.

System Requirements
To set up and use Lucy, you will need:
- A compatible iOS or Android phone or tablet.
- The Trifo Home App.
- A free Trifo Account.
- A Wi-Fi network (802.11 a/b/g/n, 2.4GHz or 5GHz).
- An unused indoor power outlet.

Getting Started: First Steps
- Download the Trifo Home App (available for Android or iOS).
- Create a Trifo account.
- In the app, tap the "+" icon to add Lucy and select "Lucy".
- Enter your Wi-Fi password.
- Hold your phone's QR code approximately 8-15 inches (20-40cm) from Lucy's camera to connect.
- Once connected, Lucy is ready to clean.
ℹ️ NOTE: Lucy comes with a partial charge. It is recommended to charge Lucy for 5 hours before first use. Lucy will automatically return to the Charging Base when the battery is below 15%.

How to Operate Lucy
Positioning the Charging Base
⚠️ WARNING: To prevent falls, place the Charging Base at least 6.5ft (2m) away from stairs.
Place the Base against a wall in an open, uncluttered area with the following clearances:
- DA1: At least 1.5ft (0.5m) on each side.
- DA2: At least 6ft (1.8m) in front.
- DA3: Always keep the Base plugged in.
- DA4: Always keep the Base near a consistent Wi-Fi signal.
Charging Lucy
ℹ️ NOTE: Charge Lucy once every three months if not in use.
- DB1: Activate charging by aligning Lucy's contacts with the Charging Base contacts.
- DB2: To send Lucy back to the Charging Base, short press the Power button (CE6/CF1).
Vacuum Cleaning
ℹ️ NOTE: Remove clutter from floors for better cleaning efficiency.
Lucy will explore your home automatically and return to the Charging Base when cleaning is complete or when she needs to recharge.
- DC1: Long press the Power button (CE6/CF1) to turn Lucy on or off. Short press to start or pause cleaning.
- For spot cleaning, use the Remote App Control.
Video Streaming and Recording
ℹ️ NOTE: Video and audio recordings are saved on your mobile device. More details are available in the Trifo Home App.
- DD1: Lucy's camera feed is viewable only in the Trifo Home App.
- Receive alerts for detected movement.
- DD2: Video recording range: Day: 68° horizontal, 42° vertical. Night: 60° horizontal, 45° vertical. Audio range is up to 10ft (3m).
Remote App Control
⚠️ WARNING: Improper operation can lead to damage or injury.
DE1: The Trifo Home App provides control over primary functions like movement, suction power, and video recording.
Troubleshooting
- Wi-Fi Issues or Offline: Long press the Power button (CE6/CF1) to reset the connection.
- Reset: Long press the Reset button (CE5).
Care and Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance. Instructional videos are available in the Trifo Home App and at trifo.com/support.
Emptying the Dustbin
- EA1: Press the Dustbin Release Button (CE2) and lift out the Dustbin.
- EA2: Press the Door Release Button (CE1) to open the Dustbin door and empty debris. Close the door before reinstalling.
Cleaning the Dustbin
- Empty the Dustbin.
- EB1: Rinse the inside of the Dustbin with water.
- EB2: Dry completely before reinstalling.
Cleaning the Filters
- EC1: Detach the filters by pulling the left lip of the HEPA filter.
- EC2: Remove debris and wash both filters.
- EC3: Dry completely before reinstalling.
Cleaning the Multi-Surface Roller Brush
ℹ️ NOTE: Using scissors to cut collected debris makes removal easier.
- ED1: Pinch both Release Tabs and lift the Roller Brush Cover.
- ED2: Remove the Brush and any collected hair or debris. Reinstall by inserting the square peg. Secure the cover.
Cleaning the Edge-Sweeping Brush
- EE1: Use a screwdriver to remove the screw holding the brush. Pull out the brush to remove debris, then reinstall.
Cleaning Caster Wheel and Drive Wheels
- EF1: Use a clean, soft, damp cloth to wipe the wheels.
Cleaning Camera Lenses, Sensors, and Charging Contacts
⚠️ WARNING: Do not spray liquids onto lenses, sensors, or contacts.
- EG1: Wipe lenses, sensors, and contacts with a clean, dry, soft cloth.
