Product Information
This cot converts into a cot bed suitable for children from about 15 months up to 20 kg weight.
Minimum recommended mattress size: 140 cm x 70 cm. Maximum mattress thickness: 12 cm.
Safety Warnings
! WARNING:
- Do not use the cot if any part is broken, torn, or missing. Contact your local IKEA store for replacement parts. Do not substitute parts.
- Do not leave anything in the cot. Do not place the cot close to another product that could provide a foothold or present a danger of suffocation or strangulation (for example, strings, blind/curtain cords).
- Do not use more than one mattress in the cot.
- Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of strong heat (for example, electric bar fires, gas fires) in the vicinity of the cot.
! WARNING: Do not attach any item to the cot (for example, hooks or handles) as these can present a strangulation hazard, which may result in harm to your baby.
Important Safety Information
- Tighten all assembly fittings properly before use. Check all fittings regularly and retighten as necessary.
- The lowest position of the bed base is the safest. To prevent falls, adjust the mattress base to the lowest position as soon as the baby is old enough to sit up.
- Mattress thickness: Ensure the height from the upper surface of the mattress to the upper edge of the cot frame is at least 500 mm in the lowest position and at least 200 mm in the highest position.
- To prevent injury from falls, stop using the cot when the child is able to climb out.
- Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers, as they can cause suffocation.
Important Consideration: Child and Wall Clearance
Children can become trapped between the bed and the wall. To avoid risk of serious injury, the distance between the bed and the wall must always be less than 65 mm or more than 230 mm.
Cot Bed Conversion
When the child is able to climb out of the cot, convert it to a cot bed following the provided assembly instructions.
- Tighten all assembly fittings properly before use. Check all fittings regularly and retighten as necessary.
- Do not use the cot bed if any part is broken, torn, or missing. Contact your local IKEA store for replacement parts. Do not substitute parts.
- Do not place the cot bed near a window where cords from blinds or drapes may strangle a child.
Care and Maintenance
Wipe clean with a cloth damped in a mild cleaner. Wipe dry with a soft, clean cloth.
