Connection & Installation
Step 1: Access Components
Unscrew the cover to access the internal components.
Step 2: Prepare Knockouts
Locate the knockouts at the bottom of the transformer. Remove only the knockouts required for your installation. Note: Every run requires a knockout; unused knockouts can compromise the transformer's weather resistance.
Step 3: Install Wire Strain Relief
Install the waterproof wire strain relief.
Step 4: Connect Low-Voltage Wire
Push the low-voltage wire through the wire strain relief. Prepare your low-voltage wires. Strip the wires 5/8" (1.6 cm). Ensure the wire shield extends 1/2" (1.3cm) from the wire strain relief. Secure the wire by tightening the wire strain relief nut.
Step 5: Make Terminal Connections
Make the connections to the terminal block inside the transformer. Connect to the 24V DC terminals.
Step 6: Mount Transformer
Use the 2 mounting holes to mark the location, then install the transformer. (Mounting screws not included). Dimensions: DCP-MTR60: 1-1/2" (38.1cm); DCP-MTR300: 2-3/8" (60.3cm).
Step 7: Power On
Turn the power back on.
Step 8: System Control
Follow the Controls table / Troubleshooting guide to control your smart landscape light system. To pair your transformer and lights to the DALS Connect app™, follow the instructions on page 4.
