Cardo PACKTALK OUTDOOR Pocket Guide

This guide provides essential information for operating your Cardo PACKTALK OUTDOOR device.

Device Overview

The device features a control wheel, LED indicator, and a USB-C charging and audio connector.

Key Components:

Control Wheel: Used for various functions including volume adjustment and navigation.
LED Indicator: Provides visual feedback on device status.
USB-C Charging and Audio Connector: For charging the device and connecting audio accessories.

Basic Operations:

Power On/Off: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.
Power Off: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds.

Getting Started

Phone Pairing:

Initiate pairing by pressing and holding the control wheel for 5 seconds. The LED will flash red and blue.
On your phone, search for Bluetooth devices and select "PACKTALK OUTDOOR".
Once paired, the LED will turn blue.

Stop Phone Pairing:

Press and hold the control wheel for 1 tap to stop phone pairing.

Cardo Connect App

The Cardo Connect App allows you to manage your device settings and features.

Download: Available on the App Store and Google Play.
Register: Create an account to register your device.
Choose Language: Select your preferred language for the app interface.
Update Software: Ensure your device has the latest software version by updating through the app.

General Functions

Volume Up: Roll the control wheel forward.
Volume Down: Roll the control wheel backward.
Mute Audio: Press the control wheel once (1 tap). The LED will flash red.
Unmute Audio: Press the control wheel once (1 tap).
Voice Assistant: Activate Siri or Google Assistant by saying "Hey Siri", "OK Google", or "Hey Google".

Music Control

Play/Pause: Press the control wheel once (1 tap).
Next Track: Roll the control wheel forward (1 tap).
Previous Track: Roll the control wheel backward (2 taps).

Phone Call Management

Answer Call: Press the control wheel once (1 tap).
Ignore Call: Press the control wheel once (1 tap).
End Call: Press the control wheel once (1 tap).
Speed Dial: Set up speed dial numbers in the Cardo Connect App. To initiate a speed dial call, press and hold the control wheel for 3 seconds.

DMC Intercom

Grouping: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds to initiate grouping. The LED will flash red and green. Successful grouping is indicated by a purple LED.
Mute/Unmute Microphone: Press the control wheel once (1 tap) to mute or unmute your microphone.
Mute/Unmute All Students: Press the control wheel three times (3 taps) to mute or unmute all connected students.

Reset Options

Reboot: Press and hold the control wheel for 10 seconds to reboot the device.
Factory Reset: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds to reset the device to factory settings.
