Getting Started

  1. Step 1: Inserting and Securing a Drill Bit

    Open the drill chuck by twisting it. Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck. Twist the chuck in the opposite direction to securely grip the bit. A checkmark icon ✔️ indicates correct insertion, while an 'X' icon indicates incorrect insertion or a loose fit.

  2. Step 2: Selecting Drill Bits

    Choose the appropriate drill bit or screwdriver bit for the material and task. A selection of common bits is shown.

  3. Step 3: Attaching the Battery Pack

    Align the battery pack with the tool's base. Slide the battery pack upwards into the tool's battery housing until it clicks securely into place. A lock icon ? indicates the battery is properly secured.

  4. Step 4: Adjusting Torque and Clutch Settings

    Rotate the collar located behind the chuck to select the desired torque setting (indicated by numbers, e.g., 1-18) for screw driving. This setting controls the amount of rotational force applied. The symbol indicates clutch adjustment for precise screw depth.

  5. Step 5: Selecting Speed and Direction

    Use the speed selector switch, often indicated by a turtle icon ? for low speed and a rabbit icon ? for high speed, to choose the appropriate speed for drilling or driving. The forward/reverse switch allows you to change the direction of rotation (▶️ for forward, ◀️ for reverse).

Charging

The drill driver must be fully charged up before use.

  1. Insert the charging plug into the rear socket of the battery.
  2. Connect the charger to a suitable mains socket outlet. The red charging light comes on.
  3. NB. The charger may become warm and buzz slightly during charging. This is normal and does not indicate a fault.
  4. When the battery is fully charged, the green light will light up and the red light will go out.
  5. After charging, unplug the charger from the wall outlet.
