Product Introduction

The Healthy Choice Electric Egg Steamer (Model SE70) is designed for convenient egg cooking. The appliance consists of the following parts:

  • 01. Steam outlet: Located on the lid for steam to escape.
  • 02. Lid: Covers the main unit during operation.
  • 03. Egg holder: A tray designed to hold eggs securely for steaming.
  • 04. Indicator lamp: Shows when the appliance is powered on and operating.
  • 05. Power switch: Used to turn the appliance on and off.
  • 06. Power cord: Connects the appliance to the electrical outlet.
  • 07. Main unit: The base of the appliance containing the heating element and water reservoir.
  • 08. Bowl: The container where water is added for steaming.
  • 09. Measuring Cup: Used to measure the correct amount of water for cooking. It also features an egg piercer on the bottom.

Note: The boiling time depends on the size and temperature of the eggs. Depending on the mineral content of your water, you may notice slight discoloration on the egg shells, which does not affect the taste or quality of the eggs.

Using the Egg Steamer

Before first use

Remove all packaging materials. Clean the appliance thoroughly (refer to the "Cleaning & Maintenance" section of this manual).

Cook eggs to perfection

Using the measuring cup, measure out the required quantity of cold water according to the table below:

TypeAmount of WaterCooking Time
Soft60ml7 min
Medium80ml11 min
Hard100ml14 min

Note: The above table is for reference only. Adjust the water level according to your own experience. Always keep the egg steamer on a level, horizontal surface, and never place it on an incline.

Pour the measured water into the water tray and place the egg rack on top.

Pierce the rounded end of each egg with the egg piercer located on the bottom of the measuring cup. Place the pierced eggs on the egg rack. Using the egg piercer helps prevent eggs from cracking during boiling. Be very careful when using the egg piercer as the needle is very sharp.

Place the lid on top of the egg steamer and connect it to power.

Press the power switch. The indicator lamp will switch on, indicating that the appliance is working.

CAUTION: To avoid burns, keep your hands and face away from the steam outlet in the lid while the egg steamer is in use.

When the eggs are ready, a bell will ring, and the indicator lamp will switch off. To stop the bell from ringing, switch off the appliance and unplug it.

Remove the lid using the handles. Take out the egg rack and rinse the eggs with cold water. Set aside and let them cool down. Cooling eggs with cold water makes peeling the shells easier.

If you need to cook more eggs, let the appliance cool down before the next use.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely before cleaning.

Clean the lid, egg tray, and measuring cup with warm soapy water. Use a damp soft cloth to clean the main unit and the water tray. Never use abrasive cleaners. Let the appliance and all parts dry thoroughly before storing or using it again.

Egg shells contain calcium salts, which can leave residue deposits in the appliance. Possible residues can be easily removed with a vinegar solution or commercially available descalers.

To remove residue deposits in the water tray: add 1 teaspoon of vinegar and 1 cup of water. Then, operate the appliance for ten minutes without the lid. Unplug the appliance, wait until it has cooled down, pour away the liquid, and rinse.
