Measuring just 50 x 98 x 27 mm (Width x Height x Depth), this radio fits comfortably in the palm or pocket. It weighs only 140 g (with supplied Li-ion Battery).

The PKT-300 has a range of up to 9 km*, and the battery offers up to 24 hours of operation* with the battery saver on. (*Talk range will vary depending on terrain and conditions; battery life based on 5-5-90 duty cycle).
Superb Audio Quality
The 32 mm diameter speaker, combined with compander technology, delivers clear audio even in noisy environments. The compander (compressor/expander) also supports higher clarity by avoiding interference. A mute function is included.
16 Preset Channels with Scan
With 16 channels to choose from, it is easy to switch to a different channel to avoid a busy one. The scan function can be used to monitor multiple channels without having to search manually.
LCD and LED Visual Information
The backlit LCD keeps the user informed of 3-level battery status, VOX, Key Lock, Monitor, Privacy, and Signaling ID. The LED indicator offers instant confirmation of operating status, lighting either red (transmitting) or green (busy).

Quiet Talk (QT) and Digital Quiet Talk (DQT)
Sub-audible QT codes (39 plus 6 customizable) and DQT digital codes (168 plus 6 customizable) can be used to filter out unwanted signals and thus avoid distracting voice traffic.
Internal Voice Operated Transmission (VOX)
When used with an external audio accessory, the radio's internal VOX, with 5-sensitivity settings, allows for hands-free operation: transmission starts automatically when the user talks.

Radio usage can be controlled by staff with Super Lock, an extension of Key Lock, which prevents a user from changing to another channel. Busy Channel Lockout (BCL) prevents a user from transmitting on a channel that someone else is currently using.
