The LX-G16 allows for intercom communication with up to 16 units, with a maximum connection distance of approximately 2,000 meters. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 specifications, including HSP, HFP, and A2DP profiles, and can be paired with other Bluetooth-enabled intercoms.
Speakers
Equipped with high-quality 40mm stereo speakers. The detachable speaker microphones are designed for both jet helmets and full-face helmets. The thin, high-quality speakers deliver clear audio, while the noise-canceling microphone effectively reduces wind noise and ambient sounds for clear communication and high-fidelity audio even while riding.
Battery
The LX-G16 features an 800mAh lithium battery, providing up to 15 hours of continuous talk time or music playback. Standby time is up to one week. Actual usage time may vary depending on usage methods and environment.
Function Priority Order
Multiple functions cannot be used simultaneously. Functions operate based on the following priority order (higher priority functions interrupt lower priority ones):
- Smartphone/Mobile Phone Calls
- Intercom Conversation
- Music / FM Radio / Navigation
Note: Using a higher priority function will interrupt lower priority functions. For example, radio playback will be interrupted by an intercom conversation, and a smartphone call will interrupt an intercom conversation.

03 Installation Instructions
Mounting the Bracket
1. Mounting Bracket (Screw Mount):
Insert the mounting bracket between the helmet shell and the inner lining on the left side of the helmet. Secure the mounting bracket base to the bracket using the provided screws. If needed, use the included bracket rubber pads or plastic pads to adjust the thickness for a snug fit. If using the plastic pad, longer screws may be required.

2. 3M Double-Sided Tape Bracket:
Use this method if the screw-mount bracket is not suitable or preferred. Ensure the helmet surface is clean and free of oil before applying the double-sided tape. Press firmly. It is recommended to wait approximately 24 hours before using the unit after mounting.
Caution: The screw-mount bracket is recommended for installation. LEXIN is not responsible for any damages resulting from the use of the double-sided tape method.
Mounting and Removing the Intercom Unit
Mounting: Align the LX-G16 unit with the bracket and slide it down from the top. Push firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure it is fully secured.
Removing: Use the included removal pad. Insert the pad between the unit and the bracket, then push upwards from the bottom to detach the unit.

Mounting the Speakers
Note: For optimal FM radio reception, place the speaker with the shorter wire on the left ear and the speaker with the longer wire on the right ear.
- Position the speakers inside the helmet and secure them using the provided Velcro pads.
- If the helmet's ear pockets are deep, use the included speaker pads for adjustment.
- Tuck the speaker wires neatly inside the helmet lining and shell.

Mounting the Microphone
Note: The wire microphone is suitable for full-face helmets, and the arm microphone is suitable for open-face helmets. Both can be used with either helmet type.
Wire Microphone Installation:
- For full-face helmets, attach a Velcro pad to the center of the helmet's interior where the wire microphone can be mounted.
- Attach the wire microphone to the Velcro pad.
- Connect it to the speaker on the left side.

Arm Microphone Installation:
- Attach a Velcro pad to the helmet's interior using double-sided tape.
- Attach the arm microphone to the Velcro pad. Ensure the white triangle mark on the microphone faces your mouth.
- Use the arm microphone holder if necessary for optimal positioning.

06 Basic Operation
Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power button and the Intercom button simultaneously for approximately 1 second.

Power On/Off
To Turn On: Press and hold the Power button and the Intercom button simultaneously for about 1 second. The blue LED will flash, indicating the unit is on. A voice prompt will announce the battery level.
To Turn Off: Press and hold the Power button and the Intercom button simultaneously for about 1 second. The red LED will flash once, indicating the unit is off.
Battery
Charging:
- Connect the LX-G16 unit to a USB Type-C cable to begin charging.
- You can use any 5V DC power source, such as a smartphone charger or a computer's USB port. A charger is not included.
- The red LED will light up during charging. The blue LED will light up when charging is complete.
- Full charge takes approximately 3 hours.
Low Battery Alert:
When the battery level drops below 30%, the unit will emit beeps every 5 minutes. The battery will deplete in approximately 1 to 1.5 hours after the alert.
Battery Level Check:
Turn on the LX-G16, and it will announce the battery level. To check the battery level at any time, press and hold the Volume Down (-) button for about 1 second. The unit will announce the battery level (e.g., 100%→80%→50%→30%→Low).
Volume Adjustment
Volume Up/Down:
- Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons to adjust the volume. Pressing a button once adjusts the volume by one step. Pressing and holding a button adjusts the volume continuously.
- Press the Volume Up (+) button to increase volume. Press the Volume Down (-) button to decrease volume.
Note: For the best audio experience when listening to music from a smartphone, ensure the smartphone's volume is also set to maximum.
A beep sound will indicate when the volume reaches its maximum or minimum level.
Note: Volume can be adjusted during music playback, FM radio, intercom calls, and incoming calls.
Playback and Music Sharing
Play/Pause: Press the Power button once to play music. Press it again to pause.
Track Change:
- While music is playing, press the Volume Up (+) button twice to skip to the next track.
- While music is playing, press the Volume Down (-) button twice to go back to the previous track.
Note: Ensure your smartphone's volume is also set to maximum for the best music experience.
Music Sharing Function:
The LX-G16 (Unit A) can share music with another LX-G16 (Unit B). To initiate sharing, press Unit A's Power button twice while music is playing. Unit B, in standby mode, can then press its Power button twice to connect to Unit A and play the shared music. Note: Music sharing is only possible between two LX-G16 units (not supported for three or more units).
To End Sharing: Press the Power button twice on either Unit A or Unit B.
Smartphone Interaction
Answering Incoming Calls: Briefly press the Power button when a call comes in to answer.
Auto Answer: If no action is taken, the unit will automatically answer incoming calls after approximately 12 seconds.
Auto Answer On/Off:
- With the unit powered on, press and hold the Volume Up (+) button for about 5 seconds. Three blue LED flashes indicate auto-answer is enabled.
- Press and hold the Volume Up (+) button for about 5 seconds. Three red LED flashes indicate auto-answer is disabled.
Ending a Call: Press the Power button once during a call to end it.
Rejecting a Call: Press the Power button twice to reject an incoming call.
Redial: Press the Volume Up (+) button twice to redial the last called number.
Voice Control: While idle, press the Volume Down (-) button twice to activate voice assistants like Siri or Google Assistant.
09 FM Radio, Headlamp, Reset, and Bluetooth Connection
FM Radio
Turning FM Radio On: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 1 second.
Turning FM Radio Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 1 second.
Scanning for Stations:
- Scan Up: Press the Volume Up (+) button twice. You will hear a voice prompt indicating station search is in progress.
- Scan Down: Press the Volume Down (-) button twice. You will hear a voice prompt indicating station search is in progress.
Saving Stations: With FM radio on, double-click the Power button. A voice prompt will announce the current station is saved. Up to 6 stations can be saved.
Listening to Saved Stations: With FM radio on, click the Power button once to cycle through and listen to the saved stations.
Headlamp
Headlamp On/Off:
- While idle, press the LED button once to turn the headlamp on.
- Press the LED button again to turn it off.
Emergency SOS Strobe Mode:
- Press and hold the LED button for approximately 6 seconds to activate the SOS strobe mode.
- Press and hold the LED button again to turn off the SOS strobe mode.
Reset
- Press and hold the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons simultaneously for approximately 1 second to reset the unit.
- The red LED will flash, indicating that the reset is complete.
Bluetooth Device Connection
Note:
- One LX-G16 unit can connect to a maximum of two other LX-G16 units and one smartphone simultaneously.
- After pairing, the LX-G16 will automatically connect when powered on, provided the Bluetooth switch on the paired device is turned on.
- While idle, press the Power button once to initiate automatic connection.
Smartphone and Navigation Pairing
Smartphone Pairing
- With the unit powered off, press and hold the Power button for approximately 5 seconds. The LED will flash blue and red, indicating pairing mode.
- On your smartphone's Bluetooth search screen, select "LX-G16".
- Pairing will begin. If a PIN is required, enter "0000".
- Confirm that your smartphone has successfully paired with the LX-G16.
Note: A flashing blue LED indicates successful pairing.
Navigation Pairing
- With the unit powered off, press and hold the Power button for approximately 5 seconds. The LED will flash blue and red, indicating pairing mode.
- Follow the pairing instructions in your navigation device's user manual to connect with the LX-G16.
- Once paired, you can listen to navigation voice guidance through the LX-G16.
Universal Intercom Function
You can pair the LX-G16 with one intercom unit from another brand for communication. Follow these steps for pairing with other intercoms:
- While idle, press and hold the Intercom button for approximately 1 second. The LED will flash blue and red, indicating pairing mode.
- Follow the instructions in the other intercom's manual to put it into pairing mode.
- Press the Intercom button once on the LX-G16. The blue LED will flash rapidly. A slow blue LED flash indicates successful pairing.
- After pairing, press the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons simultaneously once to initiate a call.
- To end the call, press the Power button once.
Group Call Function
The LX-G16 supports full-duplex Bluetooth for group calls, enabling communication for up to 4 people simultaneously, or 5 or more people in a separate mode.
Note: It is recommended to reset the unit before pairing. Press and hold the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons simultaneously for about 1 second. The red LED will flash, indicating a reset.
Pairing 4 Units
Follow these steps to connect up to 4 LX-G16 units:
- Pair Unit 1 and Unit 2 following the procedure in Step 1 (hold Intercom button for ~1 sec).
- Pair Unit 2 and Unit 3 following the procedure in Step 2 (hold Intercom + Volume Down buttons for ~1 sec).
- Pair Unit 3 and Unit 4 following the procedure in Step 1 (hold Intercom button for ~1 sec). The LED will flash blue and red.
- Press the Intercom button once on any unit to automatically search and connect. The blue LED will flash rapidly during connection and flash slowly when pairing is complete.

Pairing 3 Units
Follow Step 2 to connect a 3rd LX-G16 unit:
- Turn on the 3rd LX-G16 unit. Press and hold the Intercom button and Volume Down button simultaneously for about 1 second. The LED will flash blue and red, indicating pairing mode.
- Press the Intercom button once on either unit to automatically search and connect. The blue LED will flash rapidly during connection and flash slowly when pairing is complete.

Note: For pairing 3 units, only Step 2 is required. Pairing is complete at this point.
Pairing 5 or More Units
To connect 5 or more units (up to 16):
- Before pairing, set all units to the 5+ person communication mode by pressing and holding the Power button for approximately 8 seconds while idle. You will hear "beep beep" sounds, and the red LED will flash rapidly three times.
- Pair Unit 1 and Unit 2 as per Step 1.
- Pair Unit 2 and Unit 3 as per Step 2.
- Pair Unit 3 and Unit 4 as per Step 1.
- Pair Unit 4 and Unit 5 by pressing and holding the Intercom button and Volume Down button simultaneously for about 1 second. The LED will flash blue and red.
- Press the Intercom button once on any unit to automatically search and connect. A slow blue LED flash indicates pairing is complete.

Note: For pairing 4 units, only Step 3 is required. Pairing is complete at this point.
2-Way Calls
- After pairing, press the Intercom button once to initiate a call.
- Press the Power button once to end the call.
- To resume a call, press the Intercom button once.
3+ Person Calls
- After pairing 3 or more units, press the Intercom button once on any unit to join the group call.
- Pressing the Power button once will cause the person who pressed it to leave the group call. In 5+ person calls, if one person leaves, the group may split into two.
- If the person who left presses the Intercom button again, they will rejoin the group call, forming a single group again.
Example: If Unit 3 leaves an 8-person group call, the group may split into Unit 1&2 and Units 4-8. Unit 3 will be excluded. If Unit 3 presses the Intercom button again, it will rejoin the 8-person group call.
15 Important Notes and Safety Information
Group Call Notes
- Group connections form a chain. For optimal range, maintain your riding order consistent with the connection sequence.
- You cannot connect to other Bluetooth devices (except smartphones) while in a group call. Connecting to a smartphone will end the group call.
Connection
Connecting to other devices may take a few seconds. You can start calling once the connection is complete.
Call Range
If riders become too far apart during a conversation, you may experience intermittent noise, silence, or connection interruptions. The unit will automatically reconnect when riders are closer.
Battery Protection
To protect the battery, the unit will disconnect when not in use.

Important Safety Precautions
- Please read the following precautions carefully to ensure safe use of the LX-G16. When using this product on public roads, comply with the ordinances of each prefecture and local government.
- Do not listen at excessively high volumes while riding. This can prevent you from hearing important sounds, potentially leading to serious accidents.
- Do not apply excessive force to the unit. Doing so may cause damage, malfunction, or operational failure.
- Do not disassemble or modify this product. This may cause fire or electric shock.
Troubleshooting
When the LX-G16 Power Does Not Turn On
- Check if the unit's power is turned on.
- Check if the battery is sufficiently charged.
- Check if the red LED lamp is lit during charging.
- Try using a different charging cable, power adapter, and outlet to confirm if charging is possible.
- After charging for 3 hours, check if the blue LED lamp lights up.
When the LX-G16 Does Not Work Well with a Smartphone/Mobile Phone
- Check if the unit's power is turned on.
- Check if the battery is sufficiently charged.
- Check if your smartphone/mobile phone is capable of making calls.
- Check if the Bluetooth function on your smartphone/mobile phone is turned ON.
- Verify that the pairing between the unit and your smartphone/mobile phone was completed successfully.
- Reset the unit and restart your smartphone/mobile phone, then try pairing again by referring to this user manual. (Remove the LX-G16 from your smartphone/mobile phone's Bluetooth device list, turn off Bluetooth, then turn it back on and re-pair.)
When Your Voice Cannot Be Heard by the Other Party
- Check if the speaker microphone is securely plugged in.
- Ensure the microphone part is firmly attached to the helmet.
- Check that the microphone's sound collection hole is facing your mouth.
- Try swapping with the other included microphone to see if the audio is transmitted.

- Speaker microphones and other accessories are consumables. Their warranty period is 6 months. Loss, damage, or connection issues occurring during use, even within the warranty period, are not covered.
- LEXIN is not liable for any direct or indirect damages, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, loss of time, inconvenience, loss of profit, or incidental expenses.
- Significant external damage, such as cracks or major abrasions on the unit, will void the warranty.
