ATTENTION!
To ensure the safety of people and possessions, it is important that you read all of the following instructions.
Incorrect installation or incorrect use of the product could cause serious harm.
Before handover to the end-user, the installer must ensure that the whole system is correctly installed and operates safely.

Warnings for the Installer
CAREFULLY READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS before beginning to install the product.
· Do not in any way modify the components
· Do not leave packing materials (plastic, polystyrene, etc.) within reach of children as such materials are potential sources of danger
· Neither Centurion Systems (Pty) Ltd, nor its subsidiaries, accepts any liability caused by improper use of the product, or for use other than that for which the system was intended
· This product was designed and built strictly for the use indicated in this documentation. Any other use, not expressly indicated here, could compromise the service life/operation of the product and/or be a source of danger

1. Requires a G-SPEAK ULTRA device, as the Gate Station cannot be used on its own. 2. If the 12V DC gate motor supply dips when the motor starts up and the intercom is being used at the same time,
the speech quality might be affected. 3. The Gate Station must only be powered via a G-SPEAK ULTRA Device. 4. A Gooseneck backing plate is required when mounting onto a Gooseneck, to maintain IP rating.

Please note that only the one- and two-button models of the Metal Gate Station are compatible with 2G, 3G, and 4G wireless technology. The four-button Metal Gate Station currently only allows for 4G compatibility.

PHYSICAL INSTALLATION

4.1. Mounting the Metal Gate Station onto a Wall

The following steps should only be performed once the G-SPEAK ULTRA has been successfully wired into your operator.

1. Remove the four Hex Socket Countersunk Screws from the Metal Gate Station cover.

2. Remove the Metal Gate Station Cover away from the Metal Gate Station Rear Housing.

3. Remove the Hex Socket Cap Screw from the bottom of the Metal Gate Station PCB.

4. Remove the Metal Gate Station PCB and internals by simultaneosuly pushing the top down while rotating the bottom towards you.

5. Once the Metal Gate Station

will be two points which you can

use to run your cables through,

to wire the Metal Gate Station

to your G-SPEAK ULTRA.

Ensure that the cables you

have pulled through are long

enough and that there is a

tight seal around your cables.

If not, use an industrial grade

silicone.

6. Place the Metal Gate Station

7. Using either points C and D or points C and E, mark and centre punch the hole positions for drilling.

8. Drill two 6mm holes.

9. Insert two Wall Plugs into the holes that you have drilled and fasten the Metal Gate Station Rear Housing to your flat surface using two Self Tapping Screws.

10. Wire your cables to the Wiring Block on the Metal Gate Station PCB and fit it back into the Metal Gate Station Rear Housing using the inverse movements of step 4.

11.Fasten the Metal Gate Station PCB to the Metal Gate Station Rear Housing by replacing the Hex Socket Cap Screw at the bottom.

12.Remove a button cover off a Metal Gate Station button to expose the paper tag inside.
13.Write the relevant information on the paper tag and place it back inside the button cover.
14.Place the button cover back onto the Metal Gate Station button.
15.Repeat steps 12 to 14 on the rest of the buttons as necessary.

16. Place the Metal Gate Station Cover back onto the Metal Gate Station Rear Housing and ensure that all components are propely clipped together.

17. Fasten the four Hex Socket Countersunk Screws on the Metal Gate Station cover to attach it onto the Metal Gate Station Rear Housing.

4.2. Mounting the Metal Gate Station onto a Gooseneck

The following steps should only be performed once the G-SPEAK ULTRA has been successfully wired into your operator.

Step 1 - 4 Refer to page 7 and 8 (follow step 1- 4).

5. Run your cables from your Gooseneck through the Gooseneck Backing Plate and Metal Gate Station Rear Housing, to wire the Metal Gate Station to your G-SPEAK ULTRA.
Ensure that the cables you have pulled through are long enough and that there is a tight seal around your cables on the Metal Gate Station Rear Housing. If not, use an industrial grade silicone.

6. Fasten the Metal Gate Station Rear Housing onto the Gooseneck Backing Plate and Gooseneck using two M5x25 Cap Screws.
Step 7 - 14 Refer to page 9 and 10 (follow step 10 - 17).

6. WARRANTY INFORMATION

WARRANTY INFORMATION

You can register your product(s) online at www.centsys.com, which will assist you in keeping a record of your date of purchase or installation, serial numbers, etc.
All of our products are manufactured with extreme care, thoroughly inspected and tested.
The goods supplied by us shall be subject to the provisions of sections 55 to 57 of the Consumer Protection Act (68/2008) except where the provisions of the warranty contained in our product documentation are more favourable to the purchaser. Subject to the warranty contained in our product documentation, if applicable, our products are warranted for a period of twenty-four months after delivery. However, it is expressly noted that batteries carry a six month warranty due to the nature of these products being such that they are subject to possible misuse. Please note that warranties will be honoured on a carry-in basis; in other words, the product in question must be taken in to one of our branches, or to the authorised reseller that the product was purchased from, for assessment and, if necessary, repair. For equipment not of our manufacture, the warranty as supplied by the original manufacturer will apply if such warranty is more favourable to the purchaser than the relevant provisions of the Consumer Protection Act (Act 68/2008 of South Africa), or any other applicable law as so required in different countries in which the product was sold. Such warranty is valid only once full payment has been received for such goods.
Australian customers:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure
Any warranty may be voidable on any equipment which:
1. Has not been installed in accordance with the installation instructions provided.
2. Has been subject to misuse or which has been used for any purpose other than that designed for by the manufacturers.
3. Has damage caused as a result of handling during transit, atmospheric conditions (including lightning), corrosion of metal parts, insect infestation, power surges or other forces outside of the control of the manufacturer.
4. Has been repaired by any workshop and / or person NOT previously authorised by the manufacturer.
5. Has been repaired with components not previously tested, passed or authorised by Centurion Systems (Pty) Ltd, South Africa or one of its subsidiary companies.
