Please read the Safety Instructions before using your TV. Symbols on your Samsung product are explained below:
- Caution: Risk of Electric Shock. Do Not Open. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
- Symbol indicating high voltage inside. Contact with internal parts is dangerous.
- Symbol indicating important literature concerning operation and maintenance is included.
- Class II product symbol: Safety connection to electrical earth (ground) is not required.
- AC voltage symbol: Indicates rated voltage is AC voltage.

Power Safety
- Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or adaptors. This may cause fire or electric shock.
- Place power-supply cords so they are not likely to be walked on or pinched.
- Never insert metallic objects into open parts of the apparatus.
- Never touch the inside of the apparatus; only a qualified technician should open it.
- Ensure the power cord is firmly seated. Pull the plug, not the cord, to unplug. Do not touch the power cord with wet hands.
- If the apparatus operates abnormally (unusual sounds or smells), unplug it immediately and contact an authorized dealer or Samsung service center.
- To protect from lightning storms or for long periods of non-use, unplug the TV from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system.
- Use only a properly grounded plug and wall outlet.
- To turn off completely, disconnect from the wall outlet. Ensure the wall outlet and power plug are readily accessible.
Installation Safety
- Do not place near or over radiators, heat registers, or in direct sunlight.
- Do not place vessels containing water on the apparatus.
- Do not expose to rain or moisture.
- Contact an authorized Samsung service center for information if installing in locations with heavy dust, extreme temperatures, high humidity, or where it operates 24 hours a day.
- Do not expose to dripping or splashing.
Mounting the TV on a Wall
- Follow manufacturer's instructions exactly. Incorrect mounting can cause serious injury or damage.
- Order Samsung wall mount kits from a Samsung service center.
- Samsung is not responsible for damage or injury from self-installation or use of non-VESA or non-specified mounts.
- Mount on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. Contact your dealer for information on mounting to surfaces other than plasterboard.
- Fasten all four VESA screws when installing a wall mount kit.
- For kits using only two top screws, ensure it's a Samsung-approved kit.
- Do not mount the TV at more than a 15-degree tilt.
- Do not use screws longer than standard VESA specifications.
- Do not overtighten screws.
- Always have two people mount the TV (four people for 82-inch or larger models).
- Do not install the wall mount kit while the TV is turned on.
Ventilation
Maintain at least 4 inches (10 cm) between the TV and other objects for proper ventilation. Failure to do so may cause a fire or product issues due to increased internal temperature.
Use only parts provided by Samsung Electronics for stands or wall mounts. Using parts from other manufacturers may cause difficulties or injury.
Safety Precautions
- Caution: Pulling, pushing, or climbing on the TV may cause it to fall. Prevent children from hanging on or destabilizing the TV. Follow all safety precautions in the Safety Flyer. Consider purchasing and installing an anti-tip device.
- WARNING: Never place a television set in an unstable location. Many injuries, especially to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions: Use recommended cabinets, stands, or mounting methods. Ensure furniture can safely support the TV. Do not let the TV overhang the edge of the supporting furniture. Educate children about the dangers of climbing furniture. Route cords and cables safely. Never place the TV on tall furniture without anchoring both the furniture and the TV. Never place the TV on cloth or other materials between the TV and furniture. Keep tempting items like toys and remote controls away from the top of the TV or furniture.
Preventing the TV from Falling
- Fasten brackets securely to the wall using appropriate screws. Ensure screws are firmly attached. Additional materials like wall anchors may be needed depending on the wall type.
- Fasten brackets securely to the TV using appropriately sized screws (refer to Quick Setup Guide for specifications).
- Connect the TV brackets to the wall brackets with a durable, heavy-duty string and tie it tightly. Install the TV near the wall to prevent it from falling backward. Ensure wall brackets are at the same height or lower than the TV brackets.
Operation
- This apparatus uses batteries. Dispose of batteries properly according to local environmental regulations.
- Store accessories (remote control, batteries) out of reach of children.
- Do not drop or strike the product. If damaged, disconnect the power cord and contact a Samsung service center.
- Do not dispose of remote control or batteries in fire.
- Do not short-circuit, disassemble, or overheat batteries.
- CAUTION: Risk of explosion if batteries are replaced with the wrong type. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- WARNING: Keep candles and other items with open flames away from this product at all times to prevent the spread of fire.
Caring for the TV
- Unplug the power cord before cleaning. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use chemicals like wax, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticide, air fresheners, lubricants, or detergents, as they can damage the appearance or printing.
- Wipe the exterior and screen carefully with a soft cloth to prevent scratches.
- Do not spray water or liquid directly onto the TV, as it may cause failure, fire, or electric shock.
Internet Security
Samsung takes steps to protect Internet-compatible Smart TVs against unauthorized access. Sensitive communications are encrypted, and unauthorized applications are prevented. However, no Internet-connected device is completely secure. Take additional steps to safeguard your TV:
- Promptly install Samsung software updates for security improvements. Enable Auto Update in the TV's menu ( > Settings > Support > Software Update > Auto Update).
- Secure your wireless access point and network: use unique passwords, implement WPA2 encryption, use hard-to-guess network passwords, enable the firewall, ensure devices are behind the firewall, and use standby mode when not in use.
- Use strong passwords for all Internet accounts.
- Do not accept unexpected messages requesting permission to link a device or enable a remote session.
- Do not visit suspicious websites or install suspicious programs. Install only authorized apps from Samsung Smart Hub.

Note: Battery type, and item colors/shapes may vary by model. Cables not included can be purchased separately. Check packing materials for hidden accessories.
Do Not Touch This Screen! The screen can be damaged by direct pressure. Grip the edges of the screen when lifting the TV.
02 Initial Setup
Follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup to configure basic TV settings.
Using the TV Controller
Turn on the TV with the TV Controller button at the bottom. Use the Control menu, which appears when the button is pressed while the TV is on.
- Remove the protective film on the SAMSUNG logo or the bottom of the TV to prevent screen dimming.
Setting the Sound Sensor
(Supported only in Q7*A/Q8*A/QN8*A/QN9*A Series)
Turn the sound sensor on or off using its button at the bottom of the TV. Push the button left (or back) to turn on, or right (or forward) to turn off. The TV screen will indicate the status. The position and shape of the sound sensor may differ by model. Data from the sound sensor is not saved during analysis.

Troubleshooting
For more information, see "Troubleshooting" or "FAQ" in the e-Manual ( > Settings > e-Manual > Troubleshooting or FAQ). If tips do not apply, visit www.samsung.com/support or contact Samsung service center.
- The TFT LED panel has sub pixels that require sophisticated technology. A few bright or dark pixels may be present but do not impact performance.
- Upgrade to the latest software using Update Now or Auto Update ( > Settings > Support > Software Update).
The TV won’t turn on.
- Ensure the AC power cord is securely plugged into the TV and the wall outlet.
- Check if the wall outlet is working and the remote control sensor is lit solid red.
- Try the TV Controller button to rule out remote control issues.
The remote control does not work.
- Check if the remote control sensor blinks when the Power button is pressed.
- AU Series: Replace batteries if the sensor does not blink. Ensure correct battery polarity (+/–). Alkaline batteries are recommended.
- Q Series: Charge the remote battery via USB or expose the solar cell to light.
- Point the remote directly at the TV from 5-6 ft (1.5-1.8 m) away.
- Samsung Smart Remote (Bluetooth): Pair the remote by pressing the and buttons together for 10 seconds.
Eco Sensor and Screen Brightness
The Eco Sensor automatically adjusts TV brightness based on room lighting to reduce power consumption. Turn off this feature in Settings > General > Power and Energy Saving > Brightness Optimization. Do not block the Eco Sensor located at the bottom of the TV, as this can decrease picture brightness.

Decreasing Power Consumption
The TV enters Standby mode when turned off, drawing a small amount of power. Unplug the power cord when not using the TV for extended periods to decrease power consumption.
