Pioneer TS-165P and TS-695P Speaker Installation Manual
This manual provides instructions for installing the Pioneer TS-165P 6-1/2" 2-way speakers and TS-695P 6" x 9" 3-way speakers.
Safety Precautions
CAUTION:
- Do not touch the speaker's flexible wire.
- Do not change the direction of the speaker terminal assembly.
- Ensure that the speaker terminals and lead wires do not contact metal.
- When making connections, refer also to the instruction manual of the car stereo being used.
Speaker Installation - 16 cm (6-1/2") 2-Way Speakers
Front Installation:
Determine the speaker location as illustrated. Dimensions provided for mounting hole placement:
- A: 45°
- B: 4.3 mm holes (3/16 in. Dia.)
- C: 142 mm (5-5/8 in. Dia.)
- D: 123 mm (4-7/8 in.)
- E: 113 mm (4-1/2 in.)
- F: 100 mm (3-7/8 in.)
- G: 123 mm (4-7/8 in.)
- H: 100 mm (3-7/8 in.)
- I: 113 mm (4-1/2 in.)
Make holes as illustrated. If necessary, remove the door upholstery.
Side Installation:
Determine the speaker location as illustrated. Dimensions provided for mounting hole placement:
- A: 13 mm (1/2 in.)
- B: 41 mm (1-5/8 in.)
- C: 65 mm (2-5/8 in. Dia.)
- D: 128 mm (5 in. Dia.)
- E: 158 mm (6-1/4 in. Dia.)
- F: 170 mm (6-3/4 in. Dia.)
- G: 27 mm (1 in.)
Install the speakers as illustrated using tapping screws (4 mm x 30 mm).
Speaker Installation - 6" x 9" 3-Way Speakers
Front Installation:
Determine the speaker location as illustrated. Dimensions provided for mounting hole placement:
- A: 28.3 mm (1-1/8 in.)
- B: 222 mm (8-5/8 in.)
- C: 262 mm (10-3/8 in.)
- D: 77.6 mm (3 in.)
- E: 66.3 mm (2-5/8 in.)
- F: 65 mm (2-5/8 in. Dia.)
- G: 153 mm (6 in.)
- H: 163 mm (6-3/8 in.)
- I: 11 mm (3/8 in.)
Make holes as illustrated.
Side Installation:
Determine the speaker location as illustrated. Dimensions provided for mounting hole placement:
- A: 5.6 mm x 8.7 mm holes (3/16 in. x 5/16 in.)
- B: 237 mm (9-3/8 in.)
- C: 166.6 mm (6-1/2 in.)
- D: 117.5 mm (4-5/8 in.)
- E: 182 mm (7-1/4 in.)
- F: 4.8 mm holes (3/16 in. Dia.)
Install the speakers as illustrated using speed nuts and tapping screws (4 mm x 25 mm).
