Welcome
Thank you for purchasing this product from Game of Bricks. We use thin, aviation-grade wires designed for a hidden-line effect, offering high tension and pressure tolerance. Please handle these wires with care during installation to avoid shearing, as their thin nature makes them susceptible to damage. Always ensure brick pieces do not press down on the wires.
If you encounter any challenges during installation, please feel free to reach out to us via email at support@gameofbricks.eu. Game of Bricks offers 2 years of free light kit maintenance.
Step 1: Front Lights Installation (Bag 1)
This step involves installing the lighting components for the front of the LEGO model.
-
Preparation: Lay out the LEGO model and the contents of Bag 1, which typically includes small LED lights and wires.
Image shows the assembled LEGO NASCAR Camaro ZL1 model and a bag labeled '1' containing small LED lights and wires.
-
Component Placement: Carefully insert the small LED lights into designated connection points on the front underside of the LEGO model. The images show how to attach these to specific brick elements.
Images show hands manipulating small LED lights and wires, connecting them to the front chassis and bumper sections of the LEGO car. One image highlights the "same installing method for both side" for symmetrical components.
-
Wire Routing: Route the thin wires discreetly through the model's structure, ensuring they are not pinched or visible from the exterior.
Images illustrate the process of guiding wires through the LEGO build, particularly around the front wheel wells and chassis.
Step 2: Rear Lights Installation (Bag 2)
This step focuses on installing the lighting for the rear of the LEGO model.
-
Preparation: Gather the components from Bag 2.
Image shows a bag labeled '2' with small LED lights and wires.
-
Component Placement: Install LED lights into the rear section of the LEGO model, typically around the taillights and rear bumper area.
Images show hands attaching LED lights and routing wires to the rear of the LEGO car. This includes connecting lights to clear brick elements that represent taillights.
-
Wire Management: Ensure wires are neatly tucked away and routed towards the central connection point.
Images show the process of connecting lights to the rear assembly and managing the wires.
Step 3: Interior/Side Lights Installation (Bag 3)
This step covers the installation of lights within the car's interior or along its sides.
-
Preparation: Take out the components from Bag 3.
Image shows a bag labeled '3' with small LED lights and wires.
-
Component Placement: Install LED lights into the interior of the LEGO model or specific side panels as indicated by the design.
Images show hands installing lights into the car's interior, possibly near the driver's area or dashboard. Wires are routed through the chassis.
-
Wire Routing: Carefully route the wires to connect with the main harness, ensuring they do not obstruct moving parts or the assembly of the car's body.
Images illustrate the routing of wires through the interior and connecting them to the main wiring loom.
Step 4: Undercarriage Lights Installation (Bag 4)
This step involves adding lighting elements to the underside of the LEGO model.
-
Preparation: Prepare the components from Bag 4.
Image shows a bag labeled '4' with LED strips and wires.
-
Component Placement: Attach the LED strips or individual lights to the underside of the LEGO car, often along the chassis or near the wheels.
Images show hands attaching LED strips to the bottom of the LEGO car chassis. Wires are routed along the underside.
-
Wire Management: Secure and route the wires neatly along the chassis, ensuring they are protected and do not interfere with the wheels or other moving parts.
Images show the underside of the car with wires connected and routed.
Step 5: Final Connections and Power
This step involves connecting all the installed lights and powering the kit.
-
Wire Consolidation: Connect all the individual wires from the LED components to the main wiring harness or distribution board.
Images show multiple LED strips with wires being connected together.
-
Power Connection: Connect the main wiring harness to the provided USB power connector. The images show the USB connector with wires leading to the LED strips.
Images show the USB power connector and how the main wiring harness connects to it. The final image shows the completed LEGO model with all lights illuminated.
-
Testing: Once connected to a power source (e.g., a USB power adapter, not included), the lights should illuminate. The final image displays the LEGO NASCAR Camaro ZL1 with its lights activated.
Completion and Support
Connecting the light kit to the battery box (or USB power source) completes the installation. If you wish to use an alternative power source, please ensure its maximum voltage does not exceed 6V.
