Bryton Reinvents Its Companion App

Introducing the Bryton Active App

A visual display shows two smartphones running the new Bryton Active app. The left phone, labeled 'Aero60', presents device settings including 'Auto Sync Track' [Toggle ON], 'Auto Cal. Alt.' [Toggle ON], 'Auto Pause' [Toggle ON], 'GPS' (set to 'GPS + Beidou' [Arrow]), and navigation options like 'Grid Setting' [Arrow] and 'General' [Arrow]. The bottom navigation bar shows icons for 'Course' [Plus icon], 'Result' [List icon], 'Profile' [Person icon], and 'Settings' [Gear icon ⚙️]. The right phone displays a 'Result' screen with a graph showing '3.15m' and '66.8km', followed by a list of recent activities such as 'Morning Ride' and 'Epic Climb'. Prominent text overlays the phones: 'NEW BRYTON ACTIVE APP' with the tagline 'STAY MOTIVATED. BE ACTIVE.' App store badges for Google Play and the App Store are also visible.

The new Bryton Active app offers a significantly improved user interface, enhanced features, and greater stability.

Overhauled User Interface

The "Active" app features a completely overhauled user interface designed to be more intuitive and easier to use, while introducing more powerful features and functions. Navigation is simplified, with menus and functions reorganized into easy-to-understand categories, moving away from the single home-page navigation of the previous app. This promises a fantastic new experience for users.

Seamless Bluetooth Integration

Bryton Active now supports interactive two-way Bluetooth communication between the app and the Bryton device. This allows users to modify almost all device settings in real time. Users can adjust preferences, manage user/bike profiles, add WLAN ? connections, and perform many other tasks without needing to physically interact with the bike computer. This "zero touch" approach to GPS bike computer setup simplifies customization.

Cable-Free Updates and Data Transfer

Designed for a truly mobile experience, users can now update their GPS data and firmware, or upload activities, cable-free directly from the Active app. This eliminates the need to connect the device to a PC.

Enhanced Offline Functionality

Many of the new app's functions no longer require a constant internet connection, instead relying on Bluetooth ?. This allows users to maximize the use of their Bryton computers whenever and wherever. Improved and more stable Bluetooth connectivity enables users to sync and plan workouts, download planned trips, view/upload ride logs, modify device and grid settings, and calibrate altitude without needing a WLAN ? connection.

Improved Customer Experience

The new Active app aims to vastly improve the overall customer experience. After pairing a Bryton GPS cycle computer with the app, it automatically checks the firmware version and GPS data of the device and notifies users if updates are available, ensuring the device always has the most up-to-date firmware.

Device Compatibility

The Active app is compatible with all devices that supported the previous Bryton app at its launch. Newly added features, such as Auto Sync Track [Toggle ON], Auto Calibration Altitude [Toggle ON], and Auto Pause [Toggle ON], will be initially available only for Rider 410, Rider 450, and Aero 60 users. These features will be rolled out to older models shortly afterwards.
