COLOR MATCHING

1. Shake it up!
   Remember to always shake airbrush foundations (and all airbrush cosmetics). This ensures consistent coverage and optimal color payoff!
   
2. Sample it!
   Test each shade on the side of your face by placing a drop on your finger and swiping it on your cheek. Be sure that you are in a well-lit area with natural light.
3. Choose it!
   The best shade for you is the one that is closest to your current skin tone. When you apply airbrush foundation, the shade will blend into your skin — that’s the beauty of airbrush foundation! If you are still not sure which one is right for you, try Step 4.
4. Blend it!
   If the shade options are not quite right, simply select the two shades that are closest to your skin tone. Drop equal amounts of each shade into the makeup well, then turn on your airbrush. Hold your finger on the tip of the nozzle and gently pull back on the trigger and you will begin to see it bubble. Make sure not to exceed the clean spray point to ensure it does not overflow. This will perfectly mix the shades creating a custom blended foundation that blends seamlessly into your skin.

GETTING STARTED

Applying Airbrush Cosmetics

• Shake airbrush cosmetics for 60 seconds before the first application. This step improves the coverage, feel, and life of makeup.
• Place 6–8 drops of airbrush foundation into the makeup well.
• Press the On/Off button once to turn the device on.
• Hold the airbrush 4 finger-widths away from the face. Using circular motions, follow below are steps to ensure an even application.
  1. Start by airbrushing the side of the face.
  2. Then, move down to the chin area.
  3. Continue down your jaw to ensure a blended look back up to the opposite side of the chin.
  4. Continue to cheek and upper lip areas
  5. Move up to the forehead area
  6. Finally, move down the T-zone area
     Move your hand in circular motions around the cheeks and longer, flatter motions (back and forth) across the T-zone.
• Repeat on the opposite side of the face, followed by the T-zone area.
• Apply additional passes as needed to achieve desired coverage.

APPLICATION & COVERAGE

• CORRECT
  For best results, spray lightly by pulling the trigger between marks 1 and 2 on the airbrush stylus.
• INCORRECT (heavy spray)
  Only pull back your trigger to the 3rd position when cleaning, never when applying makeup. A heavy, thick spray will not produce the desired results.

APPLICATION

• Keep a Good Distance
  We recommend holding the airbrush stylus approximately 4 finger-widths from the face. Spraying too close will cause the makeup to look blotchy and caked-on.
• Keep Your Hand Moving
  Airbrushing is achieved by constantly moving the hand and always spraying lightly. Always keep the hand moving in a circular motion to obtain that natural and flawless look. A lack of hand movement will cause makeup to be put on in one area.

CORRECT

Keep your hand moving and spraying lightly in a circular motion.

INCORRECT

Spraying in a stop-and-goo motion will cause spots and blotchiness.

COVERAGE

1. STEP 1: Start with a clean face and apply a light oil-free moisturizer before applying airbrush foundation.
2. STEP 2: Apply a first pass of the airbrush foundation in a circular motion all over the neck and face.
3. STEP 3: Allow the first pass to dry for 3–5 seconds, then apply a second and third pass until desired coverage is achieved.
4. STEP 4: Complete by applying your blush and eyeshadow for the perfect look.

• LIGHT COVERAGE PASS
  Spray one sheer pass for light coverage. Using a delicate hand and a smooth circular motion, spray lightly by gently pulling the trigger up to the spray position.
• MEDIUM COVERAGE PASS
  Allow the first pass to dry for approximately 3–5 seconds. Then apply a second pass for more coverage.
  IMPORTANT
  Never apply a second pass if the first pass is still wet.
• FULL COVERAGE PASS
  Apply additional passes as needed. Each pass should be light and applied when the previous pass is completely dry. This will prevent a blotchy and caked-on finish.

TARGETING SPECIFIC CONCERNS

Start with targeting your concerns first. Then, proceed with applying 2–3 all-over passes to blend everything allowing 3–5 seconds for the product to set in between passes. Keep in mind, that applying too much product can draw more attention to the concern! Start with a light application and build gradually as needed. For best results, cleanse and hydrate the skin before applying airbrush cosmetics.

• DARK CIRCLES
  Use an airbrush concealer, like LUMINESS X-Out or CC+ Concealer, around the eye area.
• WRINKLES
  Start makeup application with a primer such as LUMINESS Porcelain to first smooth out stubborn lines allowing your foundation to float over any unwanted texture.
• BLEMISHES
  Using your foundation, bring your airbrush a little closer to the skin (2–3 finger-widths) and target the blemish. If the area needs more coverage, try LUMINESS CC+ Concealer.
• UNEVEN SKIN
  For most people, Airbrush Foundation on its own provides the coverage they desire. If you need a little more, a quick boost of LUMINESS Prism will help correct uneven skin tone.

CLEANING YOUR AIRBRUSH

LUMINESS Airbrush is designed to be cleaned after each use. Follow the instructions provided to ensure that the device is properly cleaned for optimal performance.

1. Place eight (8) drops of water or Cleaning Solution into the makeup well as shown. The solution will loosen and dissolve left over makeup. If you don’t have a Cleaning Solution run warm to hot water through your stylus after each use and follow with Step 2.
2. With the airbrush turned on, place your index finger over the airbrush nozzle to block airflow. Gently pull back on your airbrush trigger ¼ of the way so small bubbles appear in the makeup well. Back-bubble for 8-15 seconds depending on the level of cleaning required. Back-bubbling aerates and clears airbrush makeup inside the stylus.
3. Release the water onto a tissue or into the bathroom sink by pulling the trigger back to the clean position.
4. Remove any makeup residue from the airbrush makeup well with a soft cotton swab. Do not apply excessive pressure tothe the airbrush needle running through the bottom of the makeup well as this may damage your airbrush stylus.

CLEANING AIRBRUSH STYLUS NEEDLE

Occasionally, it is recommended to clean the airbrush stylus needle to ensure the “Airbrush Look” and provide the smoothest possible feathered finish. To correct splattering, read all of these steps carefully.

IMPORTANT
Do not clean the needle after every use.

1. STEP 1: Start by unscrewing the tail of the airbrush stylus. Turn your il in a counterclockwise movement to unscrew.
2. STEP 2: Loosen the needle-retaining bolt; ha a turn of both is all that is necessary. Do not remove the bolt all the way, just lightly loosen it it.
3. STEP 3: Now, gently pull the needle completely out of the airbrush stylus. Be cautious not to bend the needle while sliding out of the airbrush stylus.
4. STEP 4: Clean the buildup off the needle using a damp paper towel. Dirty needles can cause splattering. Be cautious not to poke yourself with the needle.
5. STEP 5: While the needle is out of the airbrush, clean the front nozzle with a fresh cotton swab. Remove all makeup buildup around the nozzle.

REBUILDING AIRBRUSH STYLUS

1. STEP 1: Return the needle to the airbrush stylus, being careful not to bend the needle. Gently push the back end of the needle to make sure the needle is firmly in place.
2. STEP 2: Tighten the needle-retaining bolt until the needle is comfortably secure in the airbrush stylus. Do not over-tighten.
3. STEP 3: Return the tail by screwing it onto the airbrush stylus.
   IMPORTANT
   As a reminder, be cautious never to overtighten the tail assembly onto the airbrush.
4. STEP 4: Now add 5 drops of warm water to the makeup well to prime your airbrush stylus.
5. STEP 5: Back-bubble the water by covering the tip with the index finger and pulling back on the spray trigger.
6. STEP 6: Spray out all water. Congratulations! You have cleaned your airbrush stylus successfully.

Troubleshooting

• Can I use traditional foundations in the Airbrush?
  The use of traditional foundations with the airbrush is not recommended as this will cause damage to the airbrush stylus.
• Can I use other Airbrush Cosmetic products with this Airbrush?
  We don’t recommend the use of other airbrush cosmetics with this as this may cause damage or lack of performance of the airbrush.
• Can Airbrush Cosmetics makeup be used in combination with traditional makeup?
  Yes, Airbrush Cosmetics works seamlessly alongside traditional makeup, for example, blush, eye shadow, mascara, ra, and lipstick. Mixing traditional foundation and airbrush foundation is not recommended.
• What are Airbrush Cosmetics made of?
  LUMINESS Airbrush Cosmetics features water-based formulations that have been expertly designed to provide you with flawless skin without harsh ingredients. It is hypoallergenic, dedermatologist-tested d perfect for sensitive skin.

One-Year Limited Warranty

LUMINESAirbrushessh that are used under normal residential conditions in the United States are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for ONE (1) year from the date of purchase.

• Conditions: PrThe product be assembled and used as per the directions provided in the product instruction guide that was guide that was included in the original package.
• Exclusions: The warranty will not apply to the damages caused by the following situations.
• Abuse and Misuse, Defec,ts or damage that result from:
  • (a) improper operation, improper electrical connection, improper storage, misuse or abuse, accident or neglect such as physical damage (cracks, scratches, etc.) to the surface of the product resulting from misuse and lost parts;
  • (b) contact with liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity or heavy perspiration, sand, dirt or the like, extreme heat or food;
  • (c) use of the product for commercial purposes or subjecting the product to abnormal usage or conditions; or
  • (d) other acts that are not the fault of LUMINESS Direct, LLC and its subsidiaries, are excluded from coverage. Failure to clean and maintaiCustomerssmer must follow cleaning and maintenance instructions as provided in the instruction guide. Failure to properly clean the product will result in the product working incorrectly and may cause failure of the product, which is excluded from coverage under the manufacturer’s warranty.
• Use of non-LUMINESS products or accessories.
• The LUMINESS Airbrush is designed for operation using only LUMINESS-certified products. Defects or damages that result from the use of non-certified products or accessories are excluded from coverage and will void the warranty.
• Unauthorized service or modification. All products must be installed and operated by inbyhe manufacturer’s recommended procedures and guidelines. Improper use or installation could void this warranty. Defects or damages resulting from dismantlement, alteration, reverse–engineering, service, testing, adjustment, maintenance, repair, or modification in any way by someone other than LUMINESS and its subsidiaries are excluded from coverage.e
• Customers may be requested to present proof of purchase as required. This warranty extends only tothe original consumer purchaser and is not transferable.
• What LUMINESS and its subsidiaries will do: If a defect occurs during normal residential usage in the United States, Luminess and its subsidiaries will, at its option, repair or replace the unit, or make appropriate adjustments, provided  Luminess and its subsidiaries shall have no obligation to repair or replace until the defective product has been returned to LUMINESS Direct, LLC along with a dated proof of purchase and a warranty return number (WRN). In no event shall the liability of Luminess and its subsidiaries exceed the purchase price of the product. Any replacement or repaired product is warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or if longer, 30 days after it shipped to Customer.

The customer shall also pay shipping and handling charges for a return of serviced or replaced products from LUMINESS as applicable. All returned items for replacement must be returned to our third-party fulfillment processor at: LUMINESS Direct, LLC, 12802 Capricorn, Stafford, TX 77477.
• ATTENTION! To protect your interest, please fill out all relevant registration documents for the product and mail the documents to Luminess. You may also visit our website, LuminessCosmetics.com/warranty to register your LUMINESS Airbrush.
• It is possible to extend the warranty period through the purchase of an extended warranty from Luminess which extends coverage to 24 months under the same terms and conditions.
