WARNING

  • Do not remove the cover while power is applied or the unit is in operation.  Otherwise, an electric shock can occur.
  • Do not nm the inverter with the front cover removed. Otherwise, you may get an electric shock due to high voltage terminals or charged capacitor exposure.
  • Do not remove the cover except for periodic inspections or wiring, even if the input power is not applied. Otherwise, you may access the charged circuits and get an electric shock.
  • Wiring and periodic inspections should be performed at least 10 minutes after disconnecting the input power and after checking the DC link voltage is discharged with a meter (below DC 30V). Otherwise, you may get an electric shock.
  • Operate the switches with dry hands. Otherwise, you may get an electric shock.
  • Do not use wire or cable when if the insulation is damaged. Otherwise, you may get an electric shock and cause damage to the product.
  • Do not subject the cables to scratches, excessive stress, heavy loads or pinching. Otherwise, you may get an electric shock.

CAUTION

  • Install the inverter on a non-flammable surface. Do not place flammable material nearby. Otherwise, fire could occur.
  • Disconnect the input power if the inverter gets damaged. Otherwise, it could result in injuries or fire.
  • Do not touch the inverter while the input power is applied or after removed. It will remain hot for a couple of minutes. Otherwise, you may get bodily injuries such as skin bum or damage.
  • Do not apply power to a damaged inverter or to an inverter with parts missing even if the installation is complete.

  • Do not allow lint, paper, wood chips, dust, metallic chips, or other foreign matter into the drive. Otherwise, fire or accident could occur.

OPERATING PRECAUTIONS

  • Make sure the assembly is to the specified torque, and do not over-tighten the screw to the specified torque. Otherwise, it could result in product damage.
  • Please use the LS keypad cable supplied with the product box. if you use an unqualified cable. it may cause malfunction of the keypad and drive.

Product Overview

  • This option is designed to provide the functionality of the keypad on an enclosure designed for NEMA Type 4X or IP66 environment Refer to UL file number(E124949) for details.

 Before using the product

Perform the following tasks after receiving the mounting option.

  • Inspect the mounting option for damage. If the mounting option appears damaged upon receipt, contact the shipper immediately.
  • Verify receipt of the correct model by checking the model number printed on the package of the mounting option. (Model number: LM-S7Ml)

Installation Procedure

Mounting Option Assembly and Installation Procedure

DANGER! Electrical Shock Hazbird: Do not connect or disconnect wiring while the power is on. Failure to comply will result in death or serious injury
Wiring and periodic inspections should be perfonned at least 10 minutes after disconnecting the input power after checking the DC link voltage is discharged with a meter (below DC 30V)

  • Turn off power to the drive by completely removing power to the enclosure. Wait 10 minutes for capacitor discharge.
  • Unpack and verify the contents of the NEMA 4X Keypad Mounting Option.
  • Create the cutout at the desired location on the customer-supplied panel as shown in Figure 1.

  • Complete installation by attaching the mounting option to the end-user panel according to Figure 2. Use the provided M6 screw  and tighten to 15.0(13.5~ 16.5) kgf-cm. (M4 x 16, 6EA, 15.0(13.5~ 16.5) kgkm.)

  • Install the keypad in the mounting option and close the cover as shown in Figure 4.
    WARNING!: close the cover completely until click. If you cover it is not completely closed keypad can not be protected from foreign materials.LS- ELECTRIC-SV-IS7-Series-Keypad-Mounting-Option-fig-9
  • Plug one end of the keypad cable ( 3m cable included ) to the female connector on the backside of the keypad. Plug the other end of the keypad cable into the female connector on the front of the drive. The location of the connector on the drive varies with the drive size.
  • Secure the loose cable to the enclosure and protect the cable from sharp edges or from being pinched in the enclosure door: Make sure that opening and closing the enclosure door does not strain the cable or connections.
    WARNING! Use the induced Keypad cable to ensure! LS ELECTRIC products.
  • If you use a cable other than the one supplied with the product it could result in drive and keypad malfunction.
  • Apply main power to the drive and verify the keypad functions properly. Refer to the drive manual supplied with the drive.

Product Warranty

Warranty Period
The warranty period for the purchased product is 24 months from the date of manufacture.

Warranty Coverage

  1. The initial fault diagnosis should be conducted by the customer as a general principle. However, upon request, we or our service network can carry out this task for a fee. If the fault is found to be our responsibility, the service will be free of charge.
  2. The warranty applies only when our products are used under normal conditions as specified in the handling instructions, user manual, catalog, and caution labels.
  3. Even within the warranty period, the following cases will be subject to chargeable repairs:
    1. Replacement of consumables or lifespan parts {relays, fuses, electrolytic capacitors, batteries, fans, etc.)
    2. Failures or damage due to improper storage, handling, negligence, or accidents by the customer
    3. Failures due to the hardware or software design of the customer
  4. failures due to modifications of the product without our consent (repairs or modifications recognized as done by others will also be refused, even if paid).
  5. Failures that could have been avoided if the customer’s device, which incorporates our product, had been equipped with safety devices required by legal regulations or common industry practices.
  6. Failures that could have been prevented through proper maintenance and regular replacement of consumable parts as per the handling instructions and user manual.
  7. Failures and damage caused by the use of inappropriate consumables or connected equipment.
  8. Failures are due to external factors, such as fire, abnormal voltage, and natural disasters like earthquakes, lightning, salt damage, and typhoons.
  9. Failures due to reasons that could not have been foreseen with the scientific and technological standards at the time of our product shipment.
  10. Other cases where the responsibility for failure, damage, or defect is acknowledged to lie with the customer.
