LENNOX S40 Smart Room Sensor

IMPORTANT

DO NOT paint the smart device. Doing so will prevent the occupancy sensor and other components from functioning correctly
NOTE: LED light pipe is not visible on top of plastic surface. User will see illumination on the front plastic when LED is on.

OVERVIEW

INSTALLATION STEPS

1. Download and install the Lennox® Smart Technician Service App if not already installed on your mobile device.
2. The following procedure is assuming the Lennox® S40 Smart
   Thermostat has already been commissioned. From the thermostat home screen, go to Menu > Settings > Advanced Settings > View Support Service Control Center and select Connect To Lennox Smart Technician App.
3. The thermostat will start broadcasting its Thermostat ID.
4. Start the Lennox® Smart Technician App and follow the screen prompts until you reach Service Center.
5. To add a smart device, select Equipment Settings > Add Device.
6. Open the case and remove the insulation tape from the AA lithium batteries. Once the tape is removed the smart device will start broadcasting its ID automatically.
   NOTA: The SRS will broadcast its ID for three minutes. To restart the broadcast ID, press the pairing button for two seconds.
7. Follow the screen prompts to add the smart device.
8. Confirm the desired sensor location has adequate signal strength.
   No LED light indicates the smart device is within range, blue LED light indicates weak signal. The Lennox® Wireless Extender (sold separately) is recommended when a location does not have a strong signal strength.
9. Install the smart device on an interior wall (see Figure 2) at a minimum height of 5 feet (1.52 meters) or place on the stand. For more recommendations on placement of room sensors, please download the installation guide.
10. It is recommended that the smart device is installed on a wall to ensure it will not be lost or damaged. Use the provided screws and wall anchors.
11. A wall template is also included for the smart device installation.
12. If not installed on a wall, use the included stand. Use the stand to place the smart device above the ground on a table or shelf out of reach of children and pets.
13. Walk the homeowner through use of the smart device including where to find and download the Lennox® Smart Thermostat App. Refer to the Lennox® S40 Smart Thermostat User Guide on how to use the smart device.
