Product Usage Instructions

1. Installation

You can download the app by visiting inswan.com and tapping
Download Software, which will redirect you to the App Store.
Alternatively, search for Inswan Documate directly in the App
Store. Once installed, tap the Documate icon on the iPad home
screen to launch the app.

2. Permissions

The app may request access to your Camera, Microphone, and Photo
Library. If permission is denied, some features may not work
properly. You can manage permissions anytime in Settings >
Privacy & Security > Documate.

3. Connecting the INSWAN Document Camera to Your iPad

To connect the Inswan document camera to your iPad, use a USB to
Type-C adapter. If you also wish to project the iPad screen onto a
larger display (e.g., a monitor or TV), you can connect your iPad
to the display using an HDMI adapter.

4. Settings

To access the Settings, tap the gear icon in the top-right
corner.

5. Annotation Tools

This tool uses the iPad’s built-in drawing interface, so it
works just like the standard Apple Pencil tools.

6. Additional Features

  • Zoom In & Out: Use a two-finger pinch
    gesture to zoom in or out. Spread two fingers apart to zoom in.
    Pinch them together to zoom out.
  • Full-Screen Mode: Tap the full-screen icon in
    the top-left bar to toggle between Full Screen and Native View
    modes.

  • Freeze View: Tap the freeze icon to pause or
    resume the live image. The icon turns red when active.

7. Capture & Recording Functions

At the bottom of the screen, tap the capture mode switch to
select a mode.

In the Settings, you can: · Select Camera Source Choose between the iPad’s built-in cameras or tap External to use the Inswan Document Camera. · Image Rotation Set the image orientation manually or choose Auto for automatic adjustment. · Mirror Preview Turn the mirror view On, Off, or Auto. · Microphone Enable or disable audio recording. · Sound Effects Toggle sound effects for app interactions. · Image Adjustments Adjust Exposure, Contrast, and Saturation using sliders. · Color Inversion Switch to inverted colors. · Reset Options – Tap each icon to reset its corresponding setting. – Tap the “Restore Defaults” button to restore all settings to default.

6. Annotation Tools This tool uses the iPad’s built-in drawing interface, so it works just like the standard Apple Pencil tools.
To open annotation tools: · Tap the pen icon in the top left corner. Features: · Draw using Pen, Marker, or Pencil · Customize line thickness, opacity, and color. · Use the Eraser:

· Tap to set interval time.

· Tap the Record button to begin. · You’ll see:
– Total recording time – Selected interval time – Number of captured frames
· Tap Record again to stop. · The video will be saved automatically to the Photos app.

B. Snapshot Mode
· Captures a still image of your current screen, including annotations. · The image will be saved automatically to the Photos app.

C. Screen Recording Mode
· Records your presentation or lesson. · Tap Record to start and again to stop. · The recording will be saved automatically to the Photos app.
