Connect the SoundTouch™ wireless adapter
- Note: Place the adapter 1 – 6 ft. (.3 – 1.8 m) away from the Acoustimass® module and console to avoid wireless interference.
- A. Connect the adapter to the Bose® link connector on the console.
- B. Power on your CineMate® system.
- Note: Your adapter powers on with the console.
Already using SoundTouch™?
- If Yes: Tap
to open the app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Go to EXPLORE > SETTINGS > Systems > ADD SYSTEM.
- The app guides you through setup. After you set up the system, go to STEP 3.
- If No: Go to STEP 2.

Start SoundTouch™
- Press and release

Stream music with Bluetooth® technology
- A. Pair a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone tablet:
- Press and release
until a Bluetooth pairing message appears on your CineMate® display.
- B. On your smartphone or tablet, turn on the Bluetooth feature.
- C. From the device list, select your SoundTouch™ system and play music.
- For more information on using Bluetooth, download the owner’s guide from the Bose website.

Update the control console
- A. Power on your system.
- B. Press the Setup button on the control console.
- C. Select Update in the UNIFY® menu.
- D. Follow the onscreen instructions.
Note: UNIFY guides you to your computer to copy the update files onto a USB drive. You will return to your console to complete setup.
Connect the adapter to your home Wi-Fi® network
- A. Select Network Setup in the UNIFY menu.
- B. Follow the onscreen instructions to connect the adapter.
- C. Press Exit on the remote.
Note: The USB cable must stay connected to the console

some of our SoundTouch adapters were engineered with Bluetooth functionality. Bluetooth streaming would be available on the connected system only, Wi-Fi would be required for rebroadcast of the Bluetooth signal. We are curious to know what Lifestyle system you own

While the SoundTouch adapter is not compatible with Wave products, we do have a universal Bluetooth audio adapter that is perfect for connecting to any Wave product wirelessly from a smartphone or tablet
We’re afraid not. If you’d like to expand the connectivity of your Lifestyle 28 the Bose Bluetooth Audio Adapter is an excellent choice.
Yes and no. You can hook up iPod directly to bose in order to play. Or you can load the music library to the SoundTouch app from your computer and play through there. However, you might need ipad or similar to get the app. I believe it works from computer though.

The retail box states that it is designed for select Bose Entertainment systems and specifically lists the Lifestyle 135 Series II

No you load the Bose app and you play internet music. You can buy the Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the Aux port and play your music off you phone or compute
This SoundTouch adapter would only be compatible with CineMate 520, 130 and 120 home theater systems and does not feature AirPlay or Bluetooth. The other Bose Wireless Audio System Adapter that we sell is able to connect to a plethora of systems

This adapter will work perfectly with the LifeStyle 525 II.
but it did not do what I needed it to, ultimately. I thought i would be able to connect my iphone directly to it through wifi to play through the Bose soundbar that i have
